I thought this was a brilliant bit of personal opinion.

It is not my opinion but I see the sense. So are the WWF scamming us all???

Here is the first part:

First off they have this commercial that plays every night around dinner time claiming the Polar Bears are endangered, even though Polar Bears have the widest range of any mammal other then rats, mice and people, It by far has the largest range of any carnivore on earth ranging from central Canda, Alaska, China, Siberia, Northern Europe all the way up to the arctic circle. They are the strongest swimmers of any land mammal, with the ability to swim HUNDREDS of miles out to sea foro hunting. They claim if you send them money somehow they'll stop global warming or something like that or save the polar bear, People should remember we have a few Polar bears living fine here in the Albuquerque Zoo, even on the hottest of summer days they don't seem to suffer much....

Yet there is a real crisis happening with the worlds amphibian species where 99% of them are said to either be extinct or extremely endangered within the next 50 years because of all the pollutants we release in our water supplies....... An even more local problem is the release of pet snakes in the everglades of Florida. They are allowing endangered species to be eaten by Burmese and Reticulated pythons, as well as various large Boa species. Even though these species are endangered in their own natural habitats. Most of these snakes were released by irresponsible owners who either grew bored with the animals, or the animals grew too large for them to maintain.

There is more to this

What are your opinions?

The money that gets donated to WWF goes towards illegal activities and not for saving wildlife. For example, when people thought they were donating to save wildlife in Kenya, the money was actually used to fund the genocide in nearby Rwanda.

Ill buy this theory.

Sounds plausible and accurate.

Always weary of Sally Struthers (sp?) and all these tv aid commercials (while I am sure some of course are 100% legit etc.)

I was always annoyed at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for bitching about the wrestling organisation using the same acronym. I haven't watched wrestling for years, but I feel the World Wildlife Fund owes WWE an apology! Think about all those young kids with WWF clothes, belts, flags, posters etc.

The WWF I beleive are just another laundering cartel that preys on the good nature of people. There is no doubt that some good is done - BUT perhaps this is a smokescreen for a more sinister agenda!

And yes they owe WWE/WWF and Macho Man Randy Savage a BIG apology LMAO!

this is not surprising.
you can bet any "household name" has some degree (usually the bigger it is the higher the degree) of corruption; thats if the whole operation isn't a scam in the first place.

grassroots or gtfo!

Here's a test.
Send them $5.00
Then sit back and watch and see if they don't send you slick expensive advertising to solicit, as well as pre-paid envelopes to send in your money. I bet they will spend 10 times what you sent them in ads to get you to donate again.

This will give you a laugh.

World Wildlife fund is also known as World Wide Fund for nature

Just about every environmental group has dirty laundry that they try to hide.

People just have to look for it.

The treehugging donaters never do because they believe these groups can do no wrong.

Polar Bears are a priority species, not an endangered one but a declining one. They are called a flagship species.

At the most recent meeting of the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group (held in Copenhagen in 2009), the world's leading polar bear scientists reported that of the 19 subpopulations of polar bears, eight were declining, three were stable, one was increasing, and seven had insufficient data to make a determination

In addition to shrinking vital sea ice, climate change appears to be altering the pathways by which pollutants enter the polar bears’ ecosystems. Studies show levels of contaminants such as mercury and perfluorinated compounds are high in certain polar bear subpopulations

There is said to be only about 20000-25000 polar bears left.

WWF uses the money raised for various ( A LOT) projects around the world and polar bears are one of their many foccusses.

Quite the bold statement there.

Can you show us the proof of your claims? By the way you wrote it it sounds that you know for a fact that the WWF is knowingly and willingly using this money for genocide in Rwanda. Is this the case or have I misinterpreted you?

Standard unintentional human response.

Those who read something that sets off a trigger in which the persons chemical reaction in brain/body makes it extremely likely that the organism will automatically (key word) fall in line with a past (psychological imprint) emotional response (which has escaped almost all cognitive recog) allowing the individual to gear all biological response toward following the perceived safest pathway (the herd) thereby allowing the brain/body to release chemicals that allows a pathway back to chillin with da herd. (I am included in the above Skinner Pigeon reaction)

What does this have to do with Polar Bears.

How many posters have actually been to the Arctic to see if the reported BS you read and hear about the Arctic is actually true.

At this very moment Polar Bears are eating their own because the ice pack is gone.

Do not let some BS about the WWF allow you to think that because they may be corrupt that that means the Polar bear is not endangered.

The idea that the Polar Bear has a wide range is true.

Its ability to freely range the Arctic is no longer true.

edit for me spellen

Truth if the matter is, people go awwww when they see a cuddly wuddly animal on the TV and some rush to send money to save it, if they put ads up with Snakes and Spiders telling you their endangered, they would get nothing.

That's why they have a Panda, and use Bears to tell you their protecting these animals, it's using your own sense of fuzz to get you to give.

A sense of fuzz that would turn to shear fear if people knew for sure what these animals are capable of should they get their claws on you.

I love all animals, I wont even hurt an insect, I always move them outside when they appear, I've seen many thousands of animals in the Wild including Bears, even seen a bear outrun a deer uphill, they are not so defenseless as they make you think.

I also know some of the schemes of these organizations does work in favor of corporate foresting and Mining, truth also be known, they interfere where they are not wanted, it's the introduction of western culture that is the destructive force in a lot of these places, not the locals as they like to make out, just like the missionaries plowing their trade, God and Wares, if they had left well alone, the World would be a different place.

Nature has always fixed her problems, same as what she is doing now, but the Human Race knows better, and then complains when she smacks them in the mouth, a Battle we will never ever win, is the battle against Nature, if she doesn't want it or us there, she will remove it or us.

There is a brilliant show called Life after People, if that show is right, within 2000 years of Humans, there will be no sign we where ever here, that alone makes me feel in awe.

I for one do not believe all the climate BS.

One simply needs to read about the European accounts of the "warm period" and the Little Ice Age.

This aside mammals, insects, birds, reptiles, fish, amphibians are all in decline. Micro or niche environments such as grasslands, marshes, and small streams are dissapearing.

The enemy is not carbon it is greed and corruption as cited yet we cannot allow greedy WWF to allow us to believe that Mother Earth is doing fine and well simply because the WWF may be corrupt.

I notice the lack of insects the farther south you travel in North America.

In healthy environments insect blooms are very common. In unhealthy areas polluted with herbicides and pesticides we see a persistent decline in insect populations.

The insect world is the basis of food for many birds, mammals and of course amphibians and reptiles.

As we destroy this it is because we have destroyed various bacteria, single cell environments which the insect larvae feed on and so we no longer have large seasonal blooms in many areas across North America.

Being a avid outdoors person as well as one who has traveled most of NA I have seen the decline across North America.

We do have species on the increase in some areas as well.

Coyotes, Mule Deer, Moose in some areas are increasing although waste disease seems to be rampant in areas such as Wyoming.

Just my 2 cents. lol

I absolutely totally agree - I had a friend out in England who was charged with neglecting his dog in his back garden.

The funny thing was the dog was a trained security dog - it was a guard dog, doing its duty.

I know and many other know that dog was never treated badly - it had a warn heated outside building to curl up in - had so many treats and toys.

The dog had barked at some dude who was throwing stones over the fence, a neighbor or passer by reported to the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). They began to monitor the situation, and decided that the dog being outside for 3 hours per day was neglect.

The dog was taken away - it went to a shelter, was never found a home because it was a guard dog.

Somebody eventually took the dog in that lived a few miles away - the dog got out, bit someone and ended up being put to sleep.

In the meantime the RSPCA flooded the area with advertising material for months - regarding donations!

Smacked of a ploy to advertise!

I just want to bump my post if I may - you have all got some stark reasonings going on - very interesting points, I am looking at them all and trying to find one common denominator here.

I think it is true to say that humanity has feelings and when feeling get stuck in between facts, that is when the emotional wordings starts.

*Conducting Test Two - Humanity*

These organizations seemingly have a similar agenda to each other - money!

Second to that a fronted priority that is not always what it seems - deception?

Not always convinced of the truths but it points in the same direction - another organization perhaps, one with a higher agenda?

More answers please
