Bush adminstration could've captured terrorist Osama Bin Laden in December 2001: Senate report

Osama Bin Laden was within military reach when the Bush administration allowed him to disappear into the mountains of Afghanistan rather than pursue him with a massive military force, a new Senate report says.

The report asserts that the failure to get the terrorist leader when he was at his most vulnerable in December 2001 - three months after the 9/11 attacks - led to today's reinvigorated insurgency in Afghanistan.

Donald Rumsfeld had the chance when he was US defence secretary in December 2001 to make sure Osama bin Laden was killed or captured, but let him slip through his hands, a Senate report has found.

I find this news absolutely devastating and amazing!
How many Hundred of thousands civil deads could have saved?
How many military deads Americans, English, Italians, Spanish .....?
How many massacres and suffering in less in the world?
How much blood?
How many tears?
How many sons and mothers and fathers?
How it would be changed the world economy and our existence in all these years?

Well just think of all the revenue that has been "raised" -

They would have "caught" him and the case for IRAQ would have been nil in the public eye.

You don't like this farce of a government? Then you need to be consistent in your efforts and critique...

On a political front this is why I really question people's motives and thinking.

A very clear case of bait and switch, create the boogey man only to ignore the boogey man, go about your conquest and fund raising.

Actually it isn't "Liberal propaganda" we had Delta on his ass back in 2001 and they were called off. This is a matter of public record. I recommend doing a bit of research. Some of us have known about this for quite some time and didn't need a senate panel to state it.

Being a Constitutionalist(and soon to be a soldier) comes with certain responsibilities. Like being consistent. A republican or democrat cannot claim the same to be true of their respective ideologies.

But they'd been planning all this stuff for eight years whilst Bill was pres., they weren't gonna let a little detail like capturing the bad guy get in the way.

It is more likely Bin Ladin is dead and his legacy is being exploited by those that benefit the most by him still being alive.
