4 police officers shot dead in Wash.

The killer must be a converted American who became a radical Muslim. Who else would want to kill an American. Right?

Sorry for saying this but. Its just the impression i get every time someone goes on a rampage and kills law biding Americans. Americans just don't do that. Right?

I have to put in my ten cents here also. I have no love for the police they are the reason I am a felon as an officer named P.J. Easterly lied through his teeth under oath in order to get the conviction. I live in Kootenai County in North Idaho and after the police had caused me to lose my delivery job due to constant pulling over in a single day, I called the sherrifs department to complain and the sargent flat out told me that this is his town and he makes the rules around here. I told him, "right we are no longer in the United States of America but the United Police States of America," and I hung up.

This war is real and will begin very soon and these animals must be killed as enemies if they want to be a tyraneous government. That is our charge as Americans and if you cop lovers don't like it then stand up with us against the government for our rights. If not then you are the enemy and really must die plain and simple. During civil war I would most definately aggressively kill any enemy that resists the rise of the people. This is my right and duty as per the Declaration of Independence read it if you don't believe me, this is the most serious subject and yes if you want to take my rights and freedom then I want to kill you and will when the time comes.

I am a patriot, cops are apparently communist, the two don't mix. I also don't find all officers to be under this stipulation as there are good officers out there I know. But if you will not stop sapping our freedoms in the name of socialism and modernization and join us in this fight then you are simply one of the enemy and must be dealt with.

I fear no cop and never will, neither have I been in many fights in my life I am not violent, but concerning freedom I become a valiant and furious warrior and do not cross me I am a bad tripper when I do fight.

This also goes to say yes I will be at the front hot and center when the real revolution starts along with all the real officers, the Promise Keepers.

If they were corrupt then good ridance and I mean if they ever enforced an unconstitutional law then good ridance and I don't think any cop can really say they have never defended an unconstitutional law. For the law enforcement I don't hate you because I am disposed to hate, I hate you because you make me hate you period.

Um yeah, they tried to kill Serpico for exposing the corruption...makes you wonder how many prior 'serpicos' they set up to be killed before one was finally able to expose them.

Alot of you really have no idea or have any kind of first hand experience with the inside working of cops.

Without getting to specific i used to "deal" with alot of cops if you know what i mean. These cops had multimillion dollar houses across the country producing meth/marijuana on acres and acres of land. When it was time to truck it down to the state where they worked at and sold it they would speed down I95 without a care snorting coke, smoking heroin.

Why? because these cops that do this kind of criminal activity are also the first ones in the building with guns drawn when they are on scene, they are first one with the information. Why? because they are dick deep in it themselves.

Basically these "Crooked" cops are what the non crooked cops rely on to keep them alive, so they over look a lot.

Those department sponsored fishing trips/vacations/picnics that they all attend, they all didn't throw down to go on those. It's called a kickback, they take the non dirty officers out once or twice a year for looking the other way.

The few bad apples argument is moot, the majority are on the take and the ones that don't eventually end up on it too... You work for years putting your life on the line for diddly squat while u arrested drug dealers that make millions only to see them out of jail 1-3 years later because they paid off the also crooked legal system.

The world is not so cookie cutter as it would seem to you guys praising the cops. Its just another criminal entity, one of the higher tier ones.

And now for the conspiracy i have no doubt those 4 police men where hit, and to cover up the fact that those cops where dirty they are going to pin it on a deranged supposed child rapist who beats his wife or whatever...how convenient.

Wake the hell up people....

And watch the MSM and the cops issue the same old lameness and call this guy a coward and whatnot. Just like they call people who blow themselves up for their beliefs cowards. This guy , whoever he is, has big brass ones to walk into a place full of cops and guns and get into a firefight and walk out alive. This was no coward- this was a vicious badass with no fear. A real deal killer who walks the walk. He is in the vein of the old time gangsters who would shoot it out with the cops and not pussy foot around. Rare to see this sort of direct action taken to the cops. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that something is very wrong with this story and these 4 cops MUST have been either into something bad big time or had plans to be whistleblowers themselves until they were taken out.

my 2 cents on the "dialog" on the thread: yrs there are crooked and/or violent cops who are on their own or in small cliques. one of them, a practical illiterate, incredibly brutal man while on the street, unable to carry on a coherent conversation in polite company or in a meeting, was police chief of pdx for awhile, then when he was pushed out under pressure, found his golden parachute running the dc force just when there was a "born again muslim" and his teen compadre running around sniping ppl on the highway and environs- was this chief's big 15 minutes. and yes there are cops in very bad groups/orgs that are behind the scenes of very nasty things, especiallyt in my old hometown of pdx, and many many small towns/counties within the pacific nw. but- there are more who believe in what they are doing and doing the best they can. if they find themselves within a corrupt system or being used by it, you'd be surprised how many DO go out of their way to help ppl who are in a bad situation or victims themselves, even if those ppl are arrested or stopped for suspicion of involvement or commission of "crimes". i have same anger when ppl expect all leo to atone for the ones who are bad/evil as i do when ppl call *me* "bin laden", etc... or complain that *moderate* muslims don't condemn or do enough to stop terrorists. every gulf war vet and/or catholic was not responsible for tim mc veigh, ppl.. calm down, please... painting all members of any group with same brush is not likely to be accurate, useful, or helpful in the fight. even the V have their fifth column, ya know

more on the topic- things HAVE been crazy lately with the killings in the region... 6 people i know personally, plus others in same incidents, have been murdered since october 1st. 4 women shot and killed by exes or current partners in murder-suicides or attempteds, 2 had children shot, one lived, one died. one was at her workplace and others shot/killed on site. one woman strangled no suspects. and the daughter of a long ago friend was murdered in a "non combat shooting" overseas... something definitely in the air... usually something like 40 domestic violence related murder-suicide deaths per year total in oregon. and seems like at least that many just in last 90 days... and nobody saying boo. sigh.

as for why they were targeted? if not random anger at cops in general, which isn't out of the question, they were more likely to have been targeted for NOT being bad, or not being bad enough, anyways, if you get my drift... the criminals in any profession tend to know how to protect themselves better...

Though I'm not a big fan of cops, (as many of you know), I do feel bad for the families of the slain cops. They are fellow human beings, may peace be with them.

According to the updated reports the suspect is an ex-con (state DOC raised) who was just released from jail about a week ago. He could be a member of ATS because he's paranoid as hell, had wrote a letter to the President & thought the secret service was after him, has 11 video cameras outside his house and thinks the world is going to end soon.

Family members also told deputies that Clemmons claimed he could fly and expected President Obama to visit to "confirm that he is Messiah in the flesh."

In 1990, Clemmons, then 18, was sentenced in Arkansas to 60 years in prison for burglary and theft, according to a news account.

When Clemmons received the 60-year sentence, he already was serving 48 years on five felony convictions and facing up to 95 more years on charges of robbery, theft and possessing a handgun on school property,

Clemmons served 11 years before being released. Then-Governor Huckabee, who was a Republican presidential candidate in 2008, commuted Clemmons' sentence. He cited Clemmons' young age, 17, at the time the crimes were committed, according to news reports.

Huckabee, in a statement released Sunday night, said Clemmons' release from prison had been reviewed and approved by the Arkansas parole board. If Clemmons is found responsible for the police killings, "it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal-justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State," Huckabee said.t

When I heard about four slain cops on the news, I was expecting a drug bust gone bad - not a reverse ambush. Usually it's the cops who show up at 4AM and do the ambushing, not cop killers at the fried bread & caffeine house. What's next Precinct 13?

Like I had said early on in this discussion. WAIT to see what comes of this. I truly hope that you are at least a little bit ashamed for your blatant jump to conclusions on this one. This guy, if found guilty (which can happen if the bullet matches that from the gun of one of the officers that fought for his life), it will turn out to be the actions of a truly sick individual.

Nothing big. Not the beginning of a war against law. Not the beginning of a drug war (even though it was a valid option). But the revenge of a very sick mind. From a man that had a 95 year prison sentence commuted. A man that just recently assaulted another officer and molested/raped young family members. A man who claimed he was Jesus.

In other words, a man that performed a senseless act of blatant murder. Not revenge. Just a stupid, insane man that had lost his grip on reality.

I pray for the family members of the officers that were MURDERED in cold blood.

I just ask this of you my friend. Try to realize that not ALL officers are bad. In all actuality, the majority of them are good decent human beings. They go into law enforcement not to gain power but to protect and truly serve.

And above all, try not to jump to conclusions in order to try and justify the MURDER of these good people.

Morning all, this was the headline that greeted me this morning. As I said way back on page one Cops don't take kindly to cop killers and they did in fact hunt him down. hopefully this was the right guy? I read in another report this guy was charged for raping a kid> Don't know the details but if if true he might not want to give up, cop killer or not. I guess all we can do now is wait and see if we get the real story behind what all happened

This morning it has been announced that the "suspect" had, recently, been released from jaill (on bond) for child molestation. CHILD MOLESTATION...

All you people (and I use that term loosely) who were so quick to judge the cops, absolutely make me sick. But, you will never see through your own ignorance to admit you were defending a CHILD MOLESTOR. Or, more likely, many of you will gladly admit your defense of a CHILD MOLESTOR over a cop, being the type that you are.

The kind of garbage I've read in this thread is exactly the reason I haven't been on ATS in a while. The only reason you people (spit) have a problem with cops is you don't want to abide by the laws "society" has inacted. You think you should be able to do whatever you want, with impunity. Thank God we have people like Mike Huckabee in the world to forgive people of there sins. This guy might have been in prison for 95 years if he didn't have his super powers of clemency. I guess hell have to do it again now that the guy shot four cops. But hes a religious man and im sure the flock will still follow him as he says "God works in mysterious ways". If he would have become president just think he might have been able to give clemency to Osama Bin Laden.

Obviously, you had a run in with the police and it ended badly; it might not have been your fault, but it probably was.
