The UN has shown its hand. With the support of China and Russia, although I personally think that is just rhetoric, Iran knows more sanctions, more censures, are coming.

With Israel halting settlements for 10-months (my guess is this was done AFTER Obama assured Israel the support of the UN in censuring Iran), much will be done to "secure peace" in the Middle East. Since peace in the Middle East is not conducive to the US need for more oil, more money, more war....it won't happen.

If there was peace in the Middle East, where would we be able to test out drones, perfect spying, blow things up at will....etc. Without terrorists, the US loses a ton of money and a ton of illegal policies (Homeland Security Act, etc.) all enacted under the guise of protecting the world from said terrorists.

It's time to ramp up the "Iran is evil" mantra again. The next news article will be: "Israel warns about the threat from Iran if additional nuclear enrichment plants are built...." With a quote that will go something like: "Israel is prepared to handle Iran on its own if it does not have the support of the U.S..." I made all of that up, but it's probably pretty close to what's next.

Many have been saying that Israel and Iran will commence fighting around the end of December....this seems to be in support of that theory.

And the war drums continue to beat steadily....

This is what happens when the USA has a president that is perceived
as weak. Maybe Obama should fly Air Force One to Iran and then bow
to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. After bowing he could apologize for the
USA being such an evil nation. Maybe that will help.

Obama could take Sean Penn with him.

Iran has stated they mean to take over the world? Well I must have missed that, can you post links to actual evidence where Iran's leaders have stated this?
That would sure be an eye opener.
While you are at it, can you also post links to where Iran has said it intends to "nuke" anybody.

I don't see Iran having military outposts and bases across the world. I don't see Iran starting wars of aggression based on downright lies. I don't see Iranian corporations and bankers financing wars of aggression against innocent people so they can rape a country for it's resources. It is only our countries that do that, and suckers swallow the propaganda every time that is used to justify it.

The language I used is appropriate. If calling for nuclear war against another sovereign state that has not attacked you is appropriate for ATS then calling someone a "pussy armchair general" for saying it pales into insignificance, surely!

Personally, I think Russia is working with Iran to drum up turmoil in the Gulf area, and thus drive up oil prices.

Russia has already shown their prime concern is oil prices.

Russia Worries About the Price of Oil, Not a Nuclear Iran

And Iran is trying to buy S-300 missiles from Russia, that has been delayed for quite a while.

Iran pursues delivery of S-300 missiles from Russia

Could it be Russia has been delaying the delivery of these missiles until Iran announces an expansion on their nuclear program to increase tension in the Middle East?

www.iran-press-service.com...

These people think nothing of sending suicide bombers to attack anyone they wish. And you doubt they would use nukes? It's a bigger bomb for a bigger bang! LOL that's rich., no seriously.. how much are they paying you?

more to come.

ibloga.blogspot.com...

www.thaindian.com...

I have been hearing of how the Iranians hate and want to destroy America ever since the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979.

What makes you think i'm a redneck? Do you even have any idea what a redneck is?

suicide bombers...USA drones...difference? one costs alot more money. Iran would use nukes like every other nation in the world(if they had them) It's basically a big flashing neon sign that says let us get on with our own business and don't think twice about attacking us. But they are nowhere near the refinement level needed. Israel has been playing the iran nearly has nukes tune since the mid 90's. All the while actually having illegal nukes. Basically the last country who should be lecturing another regarding the legality/illegality of Irans actions. Which i should say up to now are completely legal. Iran actually cooperates with the IAEA to a certain extent...when was the last time they inspected Dimona?

You know, usually I am the first to defend Iran's right for nuclear power for civilian purposes AND a nuclear weapon to keep the west among other countries off their backs.

However, in light of this news, are they asking for military action? It seems over the last month it's been one defiant and arrogant move after another.

Iran would do fine if it simply cooperated on some level or another, whether it be with enrichment or inspections. Anything to appease those who are foaming at the mouths.

They are giving the world reason to doubt their intentions and their motives.

Sad sad times are ahead for us all.

It is no doubt to get some support from the Iranian people themselves aswell. The Iranian government aint doing so well right now i imagine, but the iranian people on the whole are a proud peoples who think they deserve the right to nuclear power as any other nation does. This will be sending a message to them as much as to the international community.

Agreed, the Iranian regime is at risk of being toppled. My question is, why isn't the CIA attempting to spear head an effort for regime change?

If any country needs it's badly it's Iran. The people there are wonderful, I've met quite a few in my days. They are just like any informed person of the world, except they are kept down and their voices are muffled because of their over bearing government.

I for one would be in favor of regime change my any means that gave the Iranian people control of their country.

But as it is, they are trying to appease the masses by showing off their muscles to their own country men. Kind of a strange way of going about things, but it's just alienating the rest of the world.

It's like North Korea all over again.

The CIA are already funding terrorist groups inside Iran. And i don't think it's safe to say they want regime change...they simply didn't like the result of the presidential elections. Course there were folks who wanted to get rid of the supreme leader aswell, but as far as im aware you could hardly call it a consensus among the country.
