Do not know what to say about this one,at first it looks like some kind of bright light but after watching a couple of times it does seem to be hanging there in the sky and not on the canyon rim.Is it a camera lens artifact or something else. Any body speak Chinese who could translate.

amazing footage filmed by tourists 2008 USA

I was thinking the same thing but at 1.50 in it looks more solid and way out in front of the canyon rim.As you said ,maybe a reflection from a mirror or some such thing projecting the light forward.

It reminds me of a another tourist on the other side staring back with light being reflected off the lens. Actually I bet it is just some sort of building with a tin roof.

I'd say you have it. It's a reflection and its stationary.IMHO. However, there is no way on God's green earth, I would walk out on a clear walkway over the Grand Canyon. No way.

1. It doesn't move
2. It's below the skyline

Not indicative of something that is flying.

Probably this

I forgot about that glass walkway that must be it. Because of the curve it must throw the sunlight everywhere.

It was probably filmed by the same crew who faked the Chinese space footage, if the film went on a few seconds longer there would be bubbles and all sorts floating across the screen.

How come the camera went from being fairly steady to jerky as anything, if you saw something so momentous would you not have the sense to lean against something/someone and get a steady shot?

I would have to agree, looks very much like sunlight being reflected off glass. It also looks as though the video was taken at sunset which would account for the very low angle of the reflected sun.

it looks like a light tower or something on the side of a mountain to keep planes from hitting it;
or light from an antenna on a building

Still with the glowing.
Will the Foo never stop.
Looks at least like a triangle craft.
Humans have a difficult time working with equipment made before their time.
So cool.
Designed by the man before his time.
Yea for Tesla.
Take that agents of dis information.

I am in the camp that thinks it`s not a UFO.
But to answer your question, the shaky camera happens when you max zoom on things using digital zoom.
The more you zoom, the more the image stabilizer goes outa whack.
Same thing happens to me while using my old Sharp mini DV camcorder.

NO it could not be the skywalk.

The skywalk is on the South Rim and miles from where the video was taken.

The UFO was seen just in front of the North Rim as seen from the South Rim.

IIRC, it's about 10-11 miles from the video camera to where the UFO seems to be hovering.

I worked at the Grand Canyon about 1968, one summer.

The "diamond shape" seen in the video is most likely caused by the shape of the camera's aperture.

Caused by going in on a very bright light no doubt.
And we know how bright lights are made or must I elaborate
that electricity is the source.
Only one type of craft is enveloped in light, the Foo, if that is a craft.

They were speaking Japanese, not Chinese. But anyway, the guy initially thought that it was some kind of an artifact on the other side. But then as he began continuing to take the object, he started saying that "wait a minute, maybe it is a UFO" although he really didn't believe that it could be. Then a little later, he became really excited as he continued filming.
He said in the beginning that it was around dusk.
He said something about the contrast of the film and something about how the object seemed to be smaller after he refocused the camera.
I am not 100 percent sure because I couldn't really get what he was trying to do with the camera.
I will have to listen to it again.
