Don't get me wrong I love birds, bats, and all the living.
But the consequences of our current life style brings much more harm to everyone.

For me, its not about "Global Warming" or "Global Cooling" or man-made global warming. it is about the health of our environment as a whole.

And so perhaps we should thank you for so perfectly demonstrating the false propaganda the eco-nazi-environmentalists are using to try and further their agenda.

The title of your thread is what - "Global warming no hoax "?

But then in the paragraph you posted (above) you freely admit that your agenda is not about that at all. It's about using global warming as a lightning rod to draw attention to your real issue - pollution.

You do that because you can't get people to pay enough attention to your pollution agenda, so you run around screaming - in effect - "the sky is falling!" to try and scare people into paying attention.

Totally disingenuous. The hoax belongs to you.

Great,
Then, as a whole, go back to the point in time where life began on this planet and map out the highs and lows in temperature, oxygen levels, sea levels, co2 levels, volume of lifeforms and amount of chance made at key points in time.

If you do so then you will see that the climate has been changing for billions of years and the swings have been so wild and so extreme that the changes over the last 2000 years are less than a blip.

The planet doesn't give a damn about the fact that humans want everything to remain neat and cozy and static. It will change nontheless.

If you really want to figure out what the term futility means then look at that big ole glowing ball in the sky. It's called a star. They are even less agreeable to the whims and foibles of human desire and will continue to burn on long after humans and all other life forms on this planet are dead and gone.

Did you know that the other inner planets all have variances in temperature that directly correspond to the earth? That's because the nearby star we see every day affects the temperature of this place with humans on it or not.

Yes the climate is changing. No you can't stop it. You can bankrupt the world and enslave every person on the planet doing it but you will never make earth into your static, unchanging little playground.

So, do you live in the now or look at the future? Not all science is crap, many are out there to give the truth. So the icecap on Greenland has been melting at a rapid pace and the reason is speculative. Or places like India or most recent the UK have received record amounts of rainfall in hours (like feet or meters if you prefer). there has been snow in the desert of Iraq. The weather has been as screwed up as the"Scientists" had said it would be many years ago, because of one conspired reason or the truth as you will was said to the public was going to happen. The fact is what ever you wish it to be called,.. the planet it warming up!!!!! may it be by man or sun,... it is warming up. Co2 levels have increased steadily since the age of industry. That is a fact, so there is a possibility WE are a large contribution to the problem. IN knowing that what will you do to help?!!. Nothing ?? fine I don't care. it may not even make a difference. If the planet is in another part of it's cycle then so be it. nothing we can do anyway. But if not, it would be selfish to just do nothing. let alone screw up the air we breathe.Personally, I like to live in clean air. Why do nothing??

I didn't say to do nothing but I'm glad you got to that question.

We can't stop warming but we can prepare for it now by taking the steps necessary to deal with the change instead of wasting a huge portion of the worlds economy pretending that we can stop it.

Moving the populations that will be affected and coming up with new technology to survive and maybe even taking advantage of the change by being creative would make sense.

Spending hundreds of trillions in a futile effort to stop the change would be a waste. Those funds can more readily and successfully used at the local affected levels to adapt to the change.

I am in much agreement with most of your post. It would appear that we are on the same direction. I only stress we should not sit back and watch. Yes spending our financial lifeline on open pit resolutions would be fruitless.

I agree that good stewardship is important.

I disagree that I must adhere to a "belief" about something because of that. Particularly when that belief may not be based in fact.

Smog isn't Global Warming. As a matter of fact, smog and general pollution has fallen off the radar of just about every important group. It NEVER received the sort of money being bandied about for carbon.

I can agree that environmental degradation is important. That doesn't mean I have to "buy into" global warming.

Finally, GW is being used to push carbon taxes and credits. And ignore other environmental concerns.

Worse the carbon tax boondoogle essentially breaks down into the rich of the First World paying the rich of the Third World so that they will not develop. This is utterly unacceptable.

The idea that one can offset their environmental issues by continuing on, and purchasing the credits given to an undeveloped nation is unethical. Drastically, horrendously, unethical. And it has the full approval of the entire left.

Yep.

Enough said, and how the op just rationalises what he thinks, does not even come close to how we see it.
