Magic albino potions could be a form of self-fullfilling prophecy. If you live in that part of the world, and everybody knows you took magic albino potion, everybody will respect you because you have "magic" powers. You may then have a higher social statuts and even get richer as a result of this new found respect. Let us not forget that placebos can also do amazing things.

It is a shame, however, that witch doctors chose to make their magic potions from human beings. Everyone would be better off if they told everyone some elusive herb or a powder made from a rare stone was the ingredient for a magic elixir.
