Hello
I stumbled upon this video and i thought you all should see it.
It really puts things in perspective and shows us our true place in this universe.
It shows us how insignificant we our yet how important.
Our little pale blue dot we call home.

Part 2

In this infinite universe we are less than a speck of dust. A mere drop of water in an endless sea. We are so insignificant that we our unable to see our true place in this universe.
We give importance to petty struggles and let them rule our lives.
We fight and kill for the gods we made and destroy ourselves thinking we are bringing about a great change. Truth is we are next to nothing

Yet at the same time we are important. More so than any of us realise.
The universe may or may not be abundant with life. Truth is no matter how many lives occupy the universe we will still be a small fraction of an infinite structure.
We may be small but we give the universe a perspective.
Only we have the power to appreciate the beauty of the universe.
We are nothing yet without us the universe would be nothing.
What sound does a falling tree make when there is no one to hear it?
Stop fighting for a piece of rock or an idea that you think is true.
The universe is our playground and there is room in it for all of us.

I am not usually one to quote from songs but i think this song describes us and our relationship with the infinite universe.

I'm an ocean in your bedroom
Make you feel warm
Make you want to re-assume
Now we know it all for sure

I'm a dance hall dirty breakbeat
Make the snow fall
Up from underneath your feet
Not alone, I'll be there
Tell me when you want to go

I'm a meth lab first rehab
Take it all off
And step inside the running cab
There's a love that knows the way

I'm the rainbow in your jail cell
All the memories of
Everything you've ever smelled
Not alone, I'll be there
Tell me when you want to go

Sideways falling
More will be revealed my friend
Don't forget me
I can't hide it
Come again make me excited

I'm an inbred and a pothead
Two legs that you spread
Inside the tool shed
Now we know it all for sure

I could show you
To the free field
Overcome and more
Will always be revealed
Not alone, I'll be there
Tell me when you want to go

Sideways falling
More will be revealed my friend
Don't forget me
I can't hide it
Come again get me excited

I'm the bloodstain
On your shirt sleeve
Coming down and more are coming to believe
Now we know it all for sure

Make the hair stand
Up on your arm
Teach you how to dance
Inside the funny farm
Not alone, I'll be there
Tell me when you want to go

I turned up the volume in the first video.
Not cause I couldn't hear it, but 'cause it wasn't loud enough

Arthur C. Clarke, Asimov, and Carl Sagan......Piquing curiousity since before I was born

--After the 2nd time it makes me think. I was into astronomy in highschool. Had the Astronomy subscription right next to Becket Hockey Monthly....but I could only talk about one of those subscriptions....what a shame.
Is it still the same?

With all this information we, as a race, have been privy to, let's use it to understand that it may take some time to change. That's what SHOULd happen. But let's also remember that there are those who would stop that information.

There is never any argument on whether or not there's a problem with the world. It is identifying the problem, and the implications that come with it, that seems to stir up the most strife.

Another Symphony of Science. This is really great stuff! It makes it easy to let go of the petty stuff that occupies my mind on a daily basis and instead, fills it with wonder...
