The songs called video phone.
Things I noticed,
overtly sexual dance moves & clothing typical of strippers,
with vague looks of boredom & hostility from beyonce & gaga.
wow what a turn on....NOT!
the reason I mention that,
is because all the symbolism etc,
is surrounded by sex which is used to hold your attention.
sex sells...so what are they trying to sell asides from the music?
The real wierdness starts at around 1:34
but during the strobe light sequences I swear there's something weird going on with the shapes set up & the colours used. Even the eye make up seems
to be deliberately referring to something but I don't know what.
the first odd element is what seems to be a reference to those photos the got released a few years back of the female American soldier posing with the
Iraq prisoners of war with bags over their heads & point imaginary guns at them etc.
There's also a man tied up in a chair with beyonce pretending to shoot him as she did the 2 men standing around her earlier.
Then there's a scene change with 'middle class white man' suits, with cameras for heads, admiring her in a mock us army uniform & has a line about
'u say u like my bag' and the bag easily looks like an assortment of war medals held up against her jacket the way she does.
promiscuous gun play....
more bizzare eye make up...this time on gaga....
and then BAM! beyonce wearing a Japanese themed one piece swimsuit (also typical of Japan) with a military hat & more gun play.....also the 'red
sun' of the Japanese flag is a love heart....'love Japan'....
what's Japan got to do with anything....interesting....
appears to be holding a stick of dynamite next shot....
then what appears to be the 'middle class white man suit' camera heads from before
BUT is actually a casually dressed version, non-white-collar men? i.e the consumer?
is tied to a big dart board with arrows sticking out of him from where Beyonce (assumingly) shot him dead with the bow & arrow from Japan themed
shot.
So cupids arrow? or more sinister?
then more stripper action + repeated line 'can you handle it?'
followed immediately by beyonce in an 'grey' alien shirt with male & female gender symbols on each side.
thats about all I noticed that was noteworthy, maybe you spotted things i missed?
Look, i'm not saying that this particular video is anything really about anything, but what I am thinking is likely, is that someone in the top ranks
of record label ownership, passes down notes regarding their own agendas much like the owner of fox tells its news staff what they are & aren't going
to report on for the day and which way to spin it.
I think that this film clip is evidence that there are certain 'themes' and 'messages' that the record labels have been told to start including in
the music videos.
that of guns, warfare, aliens, sexual promiscuity, violence & either war with Japan, or an attempt to get the average Joe to like Japan, whatever the
Japan reference is, its interesting that it appears around the same time as the obama bow nonsense.
I'm of the school of thought that the mass-media is used to get the public familiar with certain concepts & possibilities, so for e.g. if someone
wanted to fake the end of the world, we'd know what special fx to expect....and we probably wouldn't be so inclined to question it.
weird times we're living in....
