NEWS: Bomb Blast at Bangladesh Shrine, British High Commissioner Injured

A powerful bomb rocked a Muslim shrine in Bangladesh today, injuring at least 18 people. Amongst the injured is High Commissioner Anwar Choudhury and his bodyguard. His injuries are not said to be serious.

The blast ocurred during noontime prayers at the Hazrat Shahjalal shrine in the northeastern city of Sylhet.

Choudhury is a British citizen of Banglideshi decsent. He was appointed High Commissioner just last week.
