The southern two thirds of the state have been under this alert since late Sunday, issued by the Nat. Weather Service. The alert has been extended into Wed.

The air looks smoky and the visibility is almost unblievable.

Where did this "dirty air" come from?

I just returned home, the air is twice as bad as it was yesterday, looks like a forest fire is nearby.

also read a post on the Ukraine blog ( Questioningall) about the air quality alert.
