Ya know the russians have had a long standing research department on PSI. All the way back to the earily 60's. Who's to say with this new wrinkle they could be secretly cloning a new form of human. One physically stronger and mentally powerful. yeah I know sounds more scifi. But ..

what if?

did anyone hear of the experiment where they would alter plant DNA just by talking to it?

Hello,

BACKSTER DEVELOPED THE NEW PROTOCOLS WITH PLANT RESEARCH

You may remember Backster as the scientist who wired up his house plants to a lie-detector [polygraph] and found that they 'screamed' like a human being in shock when they were threatened with burning -- even though he only THOUGHT about doing it. Here's a slide of his original 1966 observation:

Backster later found out it was very, very difficult to have a truly 'random' consciousness effect. The only way he could achieve it with his plant experiments was when no other humans were in the building.

He used the most expendable living creature he could think of -- the brine shrimp -- and tested if the plants would respond to their random death in boiling water. The next image shows the diabolical contraption that did the deed:

Plants were much more interested in the people in the building than in the random death of a few brine shrimp. Only when the plants were cold and lonely, without any humans to focus on, did they 'scream' when the shrimp suddenly died on a random time circuit.

Great thread indeed, our DNA is the key to life. S+F OP

Fantastic claims require evidence! Is there a link to a peer-reviewed source where we can actually have a look at those experiments and conditions? (instead of just reading about supposed results).

Thanks,

Yeah and I just saw information that some entity named Santa Claus is coming. Cell phones produce .25 watts of non-ionizing radiation, or about 4.05e-20joules of energy. Cancer can be caused by ionizing radiation, such as very high frequency EMR like UV, and X-Ray, or solar proton events or Cosmic Rays, or stray neutrons from nuclear reactions. There is absolutely no consensus that cell phones cause cancer. Most studies indicate yhey are safe, but a couple, most notably WHO, seems to find a correlation between cell phone usage and certain salva gland or brain cancers. But keep in mind there is a 100% correlation between reading ATS and death. Everyone who reads this will die. Someday. Since most cancers seem to be due to double strand breakage in the DNA, and below 1 eV, there's not enough energy to do a DSB. Remember E=hv. I think I'll use my cell phone.

this is right up my alley so to speak,
I agree with you about it being such a breakthrough, I think you would find this story relates ALOT to the information in this thread

there are currently 2 schools of thought (i'm aware of) for affecting yourself, reality & the universe through sound, the 528Hz movement headed by the fraudulent len horowitz,

and 432hz which is explain at length in the mentioned thread.
If you look at chapter 12 you'll find instructions for how to create your own 432hz brainwave entrainment 'songs'.

In the 'links & further study' section is information regarding many different effects on the body that vibrations can have/cause.

For e.g. subsonic frequencies are used therapeutically treating autistic children, but then other uses of vibrating energy waves cause lung haemorrhaging in rats & achieving resonance between an external sound vibration & internal organs can cause them to fail.

for more info regarding the relationship between vibration & the body see
This post

I hope the links/info i just posted help in someway, this thread scientifically confirms what myself & a handful of other ATSer's had believed for some time now, based on esoteric knowledge alone.

Very interesting...And the basic theories from the OP's sources are really not "new ideas" either. Genetic Engineering is the most powerful force ever to be wielded by humanity, but do we also have the wisdom to use it without committing genocide? To be sure, Genetic Engineering allows us to literally shape our own future, but who can really understand all of the consequences should we choose the "wrong future?" For example, certain gene sequences determine a person's physical build in general; is this person going to be tall or short, large or petite, etc. Certain gene sequencies determine how much fat a person's body will store, but if "social mores" or "political ambitions" lead humanity into the "svelte look" & reduce everyone to 2% body fat, then what happens when famine hits? Had more people been able to store fat in their bodies, they'd be more likely to surivive through famine, whereas those genengineered for 2% body fat will be the first to starve to death.

No. It is not. It is a molecule which codes for proteins through nucleotides.

There's been study into the effect that the environment has on DNA & genetics; in a Nova documentary named
Ghost in Your Genes, in which later generations actually display genetic characteristics from the life-experiences of their grandparents; this is due to the "epigenetics" involved as our bodies absorb & metabolize substances from the environment & chemically encounter our DNA. Although there's not enough documented evidence to prove this conclusively, environmental pressures can have some effect on how DNA reacts. In notable cases, the environmental pressures that affect DNA "pass over" one generation & actually manifest in the next generation. "Talent skips a generation" indeed! The primary problems involved in gathering conclusive evidence is that isolated communities with well-documented family histories aren't so easy to find & study.
However, it's not really so far-fetched to reason that various vibrational frequencies in our environment can also have a genetic effect. Even though there's been evidence that there's more to us humans than a mass of flesh & physical matter & also considering the differences between the specialized fields of Psychology & Psychiatry as well as the the slowly growing aggreement among brain specialists that the "mind" is not entirely dependant on the "brain" to exist, there really is nothing in the article's implications for "consciousness" & "spiritualism" that hasn't already been investigated in other scientific fields.

And yet, putting genetic engineering to practical, everyday use has already been a part of our lives. The earliest forms of "genetic engineering," eugenics, have been implimented in agriculture for thousands of years; the continual development of cross-breeding crop foods & the selective breeding of herd animals to produce food are good examples. Modern medical sciences use a bio-engineered organic mass to produce insulin for diabetics to use. Many of the everyday household cleaning products we use today contain enzymes produced by bio-engineered mass. These are only a few examples out of a multitude that are in practice today.

But the theory of DNA actually storing knowledge & transferring knowledge to other lifeforms...This isn't a new theory either. In science fiction, under the ageis of the "cyberpunk" genre, data storage in an engineered bio-mass is the basis of the "neural net." In our own ancient history, cannibals would eat their vanquished enemies to gain their strength. More recently, several decades ago, a scientist had trained Plen arian Worms to run through a maze; then he chopped them up & fed them to another batch of Plenarian Worms. The new worms were able to run the maze without being trained or taught how to do so. Consider the implications; you might go into a deli & order up a "Schwartzenegger on Pumpernickle" sandwich...Or an "Einstein on Rye."

And such knowledge can also be manipulated by politics! What of the "rumors" of "mind control lasers" brought forth by "paranoid" people that most consider to be "nutcases?"
Consider Hitler's Eugenics Programs stepped up to a whole new level! Well, that's a whole 'nother can o' worms I really don't want to get into here because this is not the Politics Forum.

Sure.
Smoking can't cause cancer.
What smoking ONE cigarette can do? Nothing!

This is how the research on possible damages to health from cellphones was conducted.
Laughable at its best.

A major study of no consequence

The recent extensive European study, known as Reflex, found that radiation from mobile phones breaks DNA in human cells. But according to its 259 page final report, that does not mean that mobile phones are health risks.

The study involved 12 research groups in 7 European countries working from 2000 to 2004. It cost more than 3 million euros (2.059.450 from the EU, 506.774 from the Swiss government, 191.265 from the Finnish government, and 522629 from the Verum Foundation in Germany). The teams investigated electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in the extremely low frequency (ELF) region coming from the ordinary electricity supply and appliances, and in the radio frequency (RF) range emitted by mobile phones. Much attention was devoted to standardizing exposure equipment and standards and other quality control.

One might have expected that such a major, concerted effort would yield more definitive answers on safety. It didn’t.

A fault in design and emphasis
The labs concentrated on studying cells and looking for acute effects on molecules after exposures to EMF for short periods of time, from 6 h up to 24 h; at most a few days. The effects of long-term exposures were not addressed. Moreover, the research focused on field intensities around current exposure limits – about 1mT for ELF region, and specific absorption rate (SAR) of 2 Watts/kg for the RF range. Many scientists consider these far too high because they are aimed at preventing excessive heating of the tissues rather than non-thermal effects such as DNA breakages.

Nevertheless, several of the teams detected significant DNA breaks in human and other animal cells at exposure levels far below the official limits. DNA breakages were observed after 15h exposure to ELF-EMFs as low as 35 microT, and after 18h exposure at 20 microT. Similarly, for the RF region, DNA breakages as well as chromosomal abnormalities were observed at the lowest SAR level investigated, 0.3W/kg.

Yet in the final report we read: "Taken together, the results of the REFLEX project were exclusively obtained in in vitro studies and are, therefore, not suitable for the conclusion that RF-EMF exposure below the presently valid safety limits causes a risk to the health of people." Exactly the same statement is made on the results of ELF-EMF exposure.

This single statement reveals the futility of the whole exercise. The experiments were carried out in vitro. We are now told that in the opinion of the experimenters no in vitro result, i.e. no conceivable outcome of their experiments, could have led them to infer that there is a risk to health. Why then did they bother carrying out the experiments? Why did they feel justified in asking the European taxpayers to fund their work as a contribution to public health?

www.i-sis.org.uk...

But anybody is free to blindly accept these "results" as irefutable proof.
Many people seem to have their cellphones near them more than 10 hours each day and operate them at least 1 to 2 hours each day.

Ok, so we have 1.9e9c/s X 6.26e-34(Planck's constant) or 12e-25 joules or substantially less than one eV of non-ionizing radiation.
One rad of radiation is .01 joules per kilogram. If you weigh 80 kg, it would take roughly a billion billion million cellphones to get one rad of radiation. It's about the same a getting a broken arm x-ryed and roughly equal to the natural background radiation in 1 day, assuming no radon in your house.
