The whole thread is wrong and foolish and serves the interests of the powers that be.

Chinese people vs American people? NO WAY. CHINA USA HANG DAI!

Call them aristocrats...call them oligarchs...whatever you prefer really...but make no mistake, they pit us all against each other because the way they see it, it's the elite vs everybody else. Anything more is of secondary importance to them.

You have to clearly agree that we, the Western/European economies depend on the cheap laber that both India and China supply.
...
They already own us based on the US debt they hold and now they want to be the sole goods supplier to put us in a stranglehold that we couldn't get out of.
...
By the way, if they ever demand repayment, they will get Alaska or Hawaii with money to spare!

No, you do not have to agree that we depend on India and China's cheap labor. You must have no idea what a great deal this country used to be.

Even if you assume the American people, and not just the richest ~10%, need and dramatically benefit cheap foreign labor, we do not need India and China specifically. The world is full of wretchedly poor, desperate people. It doesn't have to be India and China.

Who really has who over a barrel? The global mass media wants everyone to think that the Chinese are getting a great deal, especially the Chinese people.

It's China that is screwed. They can't let their own currency appreciate without devaluing their massive dollar holdings. China needs to do everything it can to push employment just to maintain stability.

And no, the Chinese will not be getting Alaska. You'd have to be one of history's true retards to make a mistake like that. Seriously, among many other objections, the Chinese are far far behind AMERICANS in terms of US debt ownership, they are just the largest FOREIGN creditor. Hey we should sell Alaska to our selves then right?

See: www.abovetopsecret.com...

China banks increased lending requirements today causing Chinese markets to plunge. This along with the Dubai Debt Crisis!

US companies can't expect to make the very best products in the world anymore when our government stifles innovation with taxes and other crap. Plus look at our educational system in this country. You think 15-20 years from now the kids in US high schools are going to be leading the world in technology and innovation when they can barely do math and science in elementary school? Yeah right! Go look at MIT and see what type of kids are in the majority there.............MINORITIES i.e. Asians and Indians.

Yea but look what they're citizenship papers says: American. Wake up: There are Chinese Americans, and Americans with backgrounds from India. Hell talking like that you would say I'm not American, I'm Italian, so I don't coun't? ARE The ONLY "true" Americans, are living on reservations?

This is what makes America great, and it can work, it HAS WORKED,but it won't with our own government screwing us, from left right and center; to power and wealth for the few, the "elite".

If anything, our educational system is one of the only things that has progressed in the last 20 years.

My daughter is in accelerated classes, like I was; but she's learning stuff in 4th grade that I didn't learn till 6th or 7th. Our educational system isn't the problem.

Sure some countries have better, but I'd rather not send my kid to school on Saturdays. There's not enough family time as is in the US,what with both parents haveing to work full time jobs.

As far as the OP. There's no need to go and raise hell in China and India, when all they did was take what we gave them. Now we want to punish them for that.

Our government is screwing us plain and simple.

If there's a terrorist attack within the next 6 years on scale or larger than 9/11, supposedly carried out by China, or India, or hell any Far eastern country for that matter..., Don't buy that crap like we bought 9/11.

and major corporations to outsource everything to 3rd world countries to make a better bottom line for the top 1%.

I hope everyone that visits this post reads the excellent response from you.

That is exactly what is happening. There is a handful of the haves and have mores (quote from GWB) that are exploiting the rest of the world.

As long as we stay asleep and keep allowing this, the "middle" class will keep declining and if we don't do something there will be two classes, like a thousand years ago. Rich / poor.

U.S. Swings Back at China in Copenhagen
President Obama's top climate change negotiator arrived in Copenhagen Wednesday swinging back at Chinese demands for the United States to increase its emission reduction goals. "With respect to our emissions, it's true our emissions have gone up since 1990," Todd Stern acknowledged. But he added, "the country whose emissions are going up, dramatically, really dramatically is China." China is the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter, overtaking the United States in recent years

Oh, I see how this works! The US gives developing nations $10 B a year and China will think about committing!

Chinese officials have said they will spring to action if the United States contributes significantly to a proposed $10 billion a year fund to help vulnerable countries adapt to climate change policies. China -- despite its growing economy -- is technically considered a developing nation.

This is how Obama carries on a war with China. Too bad Obama is such a paper tiger!
