You know the movie Fight Club, where Tyler Durden puts pornographic pictures in cartoons where nobody sees them, but they did.. Some of you would know that Disney had a slice where they put a naked woman in a frame. This made the so-called news and every body went crazy to buy the movie. Every copy was sold.

The really interesting part is that subliminal messages were being used in movie(s) (theathres) to have people buy Coca Cola or popcorn. Some countries like Russia have banned the use of these programs, however the USA doesn't have restricted laws on this as far as i know.

To have a little understanding of the power of a hidden subliminal message please look at the picture. Dont read further please, just look at the picture..

Some of you might immediately see the "hidden" message. But those who don't... What went through your head and what did you feel.. Yes it had something to do with women or sex did it??
Look at the picture again, you can see the word SEX embedded in it..

Now you have to realize that these thoughts and feelings you allowed to happen, are still manipulated on TV... Still every day..

I myself haven't watched TV in like 2/3 years, and yes it made me more aware of the things going on around us. However when I came across these pictures, it really had my body tinkling..

These ones were found in ATE (adult television entertainment)

Seriously if stuff like that is being found in adult etertainment, then don't be surprised if it could be found in cartoons too..
Who would do such a thing and why is this still allowed to happen or hasn't this been actively discussed in the media????

Our minds are VERY powerful, most of us don't realize it. Just take Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) for example. It's a study where you consciously learn to "reprogram" your subconscious mind.

When these subliminal programs allow us to have opposites attracted to each other, it would probably destroy our values. Then you could explain the increasing divorce rates through pictures like these:

Belief in God is being questioned if messages like these appear. It could also explain that after 911 there is so much hatred against muslims.

Belief versus LIE.....

You can belief what you want to believe.. Your thoughts are your reality.. You define your reality, or do you really????

Please, read the site and be surprised!! There are more pictures and videos etc

This type of thing only works if you allow it to. I NEVER watch TV news, you never know what spin is on it. With the internet you don't need the media. Commercials?

Sometimes I will appreciate the way somebody is trying to sell something, but will I buy it? Not likely. I basically use the TV for sports. The weather network comes in handy too if you have to hang out laundry and the sky is iffy.

Okay, that. is. it.
I'm not watching the crap-box anymore.
It's sickening, the subliminals everywhere.
like this one for instance:

Yeah, get us all glued to the cathode-ray tube.

And then shove your pro-war crap down our throats.
I'm not going to be manipulated like this. no more television. There's nothing useful on it anyway.

I'm not sure if theres any agenda in it but I've noticed several messages when watching *gasp* Spongebob Squarepants, its the fad at my school. Anyway, in one episode Spongebob says something like "Prepare for a night of debuachery!" Then the other characters repeat "Debuachery!" They do some stupid stuff and end up going on a panty raid!

In another episode Spongebob thinks hes murdered this guy, he and another character bury the "dead" guy in a cemetery. But he's just unconscious in the end. It's all made to seem very innocent.

This is a cartoon that little kids watch!

I am in advertising and the American Association of Advertising Agencies has had standards prohibiting this in our ethics codes since the early 80s. How that's legislated is up to debate, but there is a standard code of ethics that prohibits it.

LOL
Im a big fan of Babylon 5 - they once cut a subliminal message into one of the episodes - longer that the ASA rules so it was legal - and guess which country demanded the cut - France!

I over the years have heard an awful lot about subliminal - but have yet to see any concrete examples of success - if anyone has them please let me know.

As for general use - and im a novice in this area - given that a lot of ads are now transmitted globally (Garnier campaigns notably) wouldnt the frame difference between NTSC and PAL cause problems?

Do simple things like embedding 'SEX' in a picture of flowers count as subliminial messages? I just thought those were things advertisers put in just to see if you'll find them. (I thought about women & sex because those were flowers -- you know, like you'd give flowers to a woman on a date.)

I thought subliminal messages were actual audiovisual messages hidden in frames on film where you can't see them with the naked eye. When they're on paper advertisements, they're just plain old hidden messages to me...

whoever has the power to abuse the power will go ahead and do so, without regard to the law, even if they established the law themselves. intrepid, i'm with you when it comes to watching the mainstream news outlets, but sometimes they're fun to watch when it comes to pundits...and other times, disgusting.

Nope. That kind of thing counts as subliminal advertising. We did a whole thing on this in Psych....my favorite one in print is the indian woman in Land O' Lakes Butter ads whose knees look like breasts.
