The Feds do monitor this site because this is just the sort of site the kooks who want to blow up the white house are found on. You never know who your talking to or what they may be into.

Do you own any type of waterpic or oral irrigation device? I honestly don't think that is what this is, since the ends of those are usually tapered, but it's a thought...

No, if you go to google images and type in 'voice tube' you will see that tha'ts pretty much what it is. But the question is why would it be in my house?

I don't entertain visitor, I don't have pets that would bring it in, I don't have kids, and my house is always immaculate, which is why I found it so easily and out of place in my living room next to the book shelf.

since when is things we find on our floor worth making a thread about?

how is it a conspiracy? How does it relate to anything?

my guess is that your wife is cheating on you and shes giving you subtle clues.

the man shes cheating with is a telemarketer and that's his mic.

All i can say about that is WOW WTF!!!!!

As far as making a thread about things you find on your floor would it make it any more or any less relavent if he found an alien sleeping on his couch?
or some artifact from another world on his counter.
the point is if the man knows for certain that noone he knows dropped it and that it is not his , it had to come from someplace, it doesnt matter if its a voicetube from a headset or if its a poo from a donkey, there has to be some explanation as to how it got there, and if he didnt know what it was then he did the right thing by asking.

what if it had been something other than what it is, would everyone still say (well lets post everything we find in our house)?

yes actually it would make things much more relevant because we have board dedicated to both of those topics. i have yet to find the "looks like a tube" board.

Voice tube or omni directional microphones convey the speaker’s voice and his surrounding sounds to the other side without interference.

Voice tube are similar to speaker phones in this regard and the very opposite of noise canceling.

So while looking sexy, it does convey background noise!

Pros and Cons
Voice tube technology provides voice clarity with less weight then others.

However, these microphones are not suitable in an office environment because they do not filter out unnecessary background noise.

Telemarketers work in crowded call centers with a lot of background noise; so omni directional voice tube technology would be the last thing they'd want to use.

However inappropriate I may feel your accusations of infidelity are; the fact remains that someone entered this member's home with what appears to be technology designed not only to pick up the trespasser's voice, but also the surrounding sounds of the location as well.

i would like to see the proof that that is a mic and not some other weird thing that could have come off of something else.

so far people are only speculating that its a mic. once we are 100% sure its a mic then it will merit discussion. until then its a random do hickey.

you do not need to post it on a board to see if its a mic or not.

I would be a little freaked my self, I've had things turn up that I never knew I had, but then again my house isn't always clean with kids runnin around.

I have no idea my self what it could be, but I would say a sprayer of some sort. I'll have my step dad look at the pic when he can. Thanks for the thread, interesting indeed.

My first guess - And I may be completely wrong - I would say that you had this somewhere in your house, and decided it kind-of looked alien so you decided to post a thread about how you found it hoping people would believe it was some kind of alien device they left behind after a visit. Instead ATS took it the wrong way and thought your wife was cheating on you with a telemarketer, a dentist was sneaking around your house with his tools and dropped it, a hamster threw it out of its cage, or you had some naughty pot smoking children. Wow.

If I'm wrong and that was actually there.. I'm honestly sorry. The above is just what first came into my head.

And how do we know that this "Device" is used for picking up sound/voice?
