for me the bible should never be a literal thing, anyone who takes it literally is, in my view, on the road to no town, it should be more symbolic and used as a guide

Damn, I cant resist, I just have to add I really hope Lenin is not in hell with Stalin. In his defence he was for violence, but only against the oppressors. Myself, even more pacifist than Lenin, would probably bitch out and forgive them... but being Norwegian I have to support resistance to the oppressors in all form. Wage slavery! But your point completely falls through, because there are millions of compassionate people of all religions, abrahamic, hindu, shinto, native, buddhist, etc etc who couldnt be better people. Its like you're blaming the apple tree for having a few worms!

My whole point is that religion or no, there are assholes, there are racists, there are people who exploit their fellow man for profits...

If even one person exist who is of a religion but is a good person, it is not religions fault. Religion does not make a man shoot a doctor, blow themself opp, suppress others, feel superior. It is already decided in the persons heart. Maybe religion can encourage it. But religion is just a concept. It is not holding a gun to their head to make them hateful.

Dude, i strongly believe in you should say what you mean in order to mean what you say

God knew humanity will take things literally
therefore it's not god's word

anytime someone says "but the bible says this" and pro-christianity or insert religion name answers "don't take it too literally" or "god works in mysterious ways", this is precisely why you are having less and less followers every generation

In theory perhaps. In reality, entire sub-classes of Russian society were exterminated or sent to the Gulags the moment Lenin took control of the country (similar to what Pol Pot, Mao and other communist "liberators" did).
