no, what we have is a public execution of the feminine mystique, in every possible way, and attached to that in the most aggregious way possible, her religion and her sexuality. it's going to be a disgusting, abusive, freak show in which women will be reminded once more, that their value is exactly nothing but a collection of holes and bumps.

argh and shudder. i don't want to go through that again or see a woman put through that again in a public venue. it was almost as bad as watching terri schiavo publically starved to death on national television.

whenever a new book by a famous personality hits the shelves it's always number one at first. That's like a given. No publisher would touch the book if they thought it would fail.

I don't think the reaction you are seeing from the left is fear as much as it is frustration with her supporters. I personally find it unfathomable that anyone would support this womans run for presidency and I believe that most of the negativity you see stems from similar feelings from other posters. I don't believe any Palin pundit fears that she will find her way into the White House. She shot herself in the foot by quitting her job halfway though. If you don't think she will be ripped apart for that if she decides to run in 2012 you're deluded.

and your post is a prime example of what i'm talking about. if she had been anything other than a republican, she would've sustained less harrassment, but not much. look what happened to hillary! this country does not want a woman president, period, and either side of the isle will go to whatever extremes are necessary to make sure it doesn't happen. they will revile and desecrate women in every imaginable way, to the chagrin, shock and horror of their mothers, wives and daughters, in a public forum and do so just to be sure a woman never has access to the red phone or the button.

they probably made a pact, years ago, that a woman would never be allowed in the oval office as the commander and chief.

it's funny but they totally ignore deborah (back in her time, there was no king of israel, so the leader was the judge and prophet of the people/ yet here we are, literally thousands of years later, and we still can't let a woman have that kind of power)

When Obama releases a comprehensive action plan on swimsuit modeling, presenting oneself as a polite anchorperson, and how to quit your job in order to pursue a lucrative book deal, then I think he should listen to her advice.

She has more experience in politics than obama.

it's traumatizing for american women to see female political leaders treated so horribly based on things like their breast size or physical appearance. i mean, hillary was accused of being butch, morally bankrupt and intellectually evil and sarah was accused of being a playboy bunny with not a brain in her head, yet a cunning liar of epic proportions. both huge stereotypes geared at playing on prejudice that both sides claim they don't have and yet seem to display in spades when the rubber hits the road.

THIS AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN. neither side will allow the other to have a female candidate for the white house. they will invariably do what they did last time, only worse. and they will do so under the pretense that it's politics as usual. oh bs. the one who is slated for the white house is the one who will get in and you can bet it ain't a woman or the rhetoric would get turned down dramatically.
