Received an email today from a co-worker about the health care bill.

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn that would require all Members and their staffs to enroll in any new government-run health plan. It took me less than a minute to sign up to require our congressmen and senators to drink at the same trough! Three cheers for Congressman John Fleming of Louisiana ! Congressman John Fleming ( Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require congressmen and senators to take the same healthcare plan they force on us (under proposed legislation they are curiously exempt). Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go on his Website and sign his petition (very simple - just first, last and email). I have immediately done just that at: Petition Link Please urge as many people as you can to do the same! If Congress forces this on the American people, the Congressmen should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families. To do otherwise is the height of hypocrisy! Please pass this on!!

Just wanted to pass this on to everyone that feels congress and the senate should practice what they preach. Not sure if this will be passed of course, but it's worth it to try and get your voice heard.

What if the health care plan isn't FORCED on you. What if it's just an option for those who can't get health care anywhere else? So do they have to take the cheapest health care possible because they make it AVAILABLE to others? Just another attempt to stop public health care by the insurance and pharma and the politicians who serve them.

Edit: Please understand if it was truly a case of a certain health being forced on everyone, I would absolutely agree with this but it isn't. It's just another lie meant to mislead people. Nobody is forcing you to lose your health care for a public one. Never was, if you believed that then you were deceived and you ought to ticked off at them trying to manipulate you.

Just because you're signed up for a plan doesn't mean you have to use it.

You can be doubly, triply and even quadruply insured...and in the end nobody can actually force you to use your insurance...you can still go wherever you want and pay out of pocket.
