The threat of damage to the earths magnetic field gave me my idea for the story I have submitted for this contest. It could be GAME OVER from solar flares or something else.............hehehehe Good Luck to everyone!!!!!

Am going to have to whack my contribution back to short-story length.

It's already up to near 100 pages.

Am a bit unclear of something i need clear before I post it hereon, however.

I'm now planning to go ahead and write the book version. I'm assuming the part I post hereon as a short story for the contest will be 5% or less of the book.

IIRC, the copyright legalities between ATS and authors is to share copyright ownership of such??? or what????

And what would be the arrangement or details of my going ahead and using my short story in my book--presumably to be published in hard-copy print otherwise than by ATS. ???

I decided to take tonight and read all the stories. . WOW! We have such an eclectic array of talent here at ATS. I think I feel a tweak of inspiration coming on................ no, wait, that was the pizza I had at lunch, my mistake.

So here I sit, awaiting that wet, little flash that sometimes occurs when inspiration strikes. I work best under pressure. Inspiration will probably strike on the evening of the 6th, just before the deadline.

Perfect.
