It make's me think of old school Star Trek, which are ALL available on YouTube now for those interested, full length
Anyway, I just picture mankind visiting a neutron star in the future and entering it's massive energy field and meeting extradimensional energy beings or having our thoughts manifest themselves while taking shore leave on a neighboring planet next to something like a pulsar giving off it's enormous energy field.. Either that, or instant mutations all over our body due to extreme amounts of x-ray's, like we just start bubbling and boiling and growing extra arms if we get within a solar systems distance of one of these..
