Do you know anything of Darwin? Darwin was a very religious man. In fact, he waited 25 years before revealing his discoveries because he knew of the religious implications. He struggled with the decision. He felt it was akin to having to admit to murder.

I very much doubt that didn't believe the Earth was created by God in some form or another.

Um, hey Oz! Thanks for droppin' in!
Thanks also for assuming things about me too! Nice.
But why would scientists opinions be any more credible about something so complex in the first place? Or a meteorologist either for that matter?
Science is great for what it is.
But it cannot always answer the really big questions about life and things therein and therefrom.
Hypocritical and what?
Wow, um I'll go back and reread but I dont think I called out anybody.

Hang on a sec, jeez.
I thought I have been rather cordial about this and try to let everyone express their point of view.
I am no scientist, but I study science!
I am expressing my personal belief, I have no right to say how others feel. Please before bashing me, read all my posts on here or other threads.
Fair enough or no...
I doubt everyone feels the same. We have free choice.
And have lived different experiences.
Is this your opinion?
Or are you apparently really just here to bash too?

Don't you have a chemtrail thread to debunk anyway?

Hey, if this helps you sleep better at night...go ahead and keep attacking science, and continue to believe whatever information coincides with your established predispositions.

However, did it ever occur to you that GOD creates through EVOLUTION? Or is that too much of a jump to make from what the bible says is true?

We have proof of evolution. Viruses will evolve to their surroundings and become stronger with new and improved vaccines. People of different skin color evolve to their climate and region and location according to the equator. Dominant species (us) evolves from updates and upgrades in technologies and resources etc.

And...LETS NOT FORGET THE DINOSAURS THAT WE HAVE PROOF OF, THAT GOD MADE, AND ALLOWED TO ROAM THE EARTH BEFORE YOU AND I WERE EVER A THOUGHT.

The typical Christian response to that one is this...God, or Satan, put the bones there to test your faith.

No...the bones are there because they were used by the beings that NEEDED THEM, i.e. "Dinosaurs." This earth is estimated to be about 1.6 billion years old. Now, since I cannot prove the earth's actual age, I will just have to go on research made by specialists in their field with more knowledge and experience than I have such as: paleontologists and astronomers who are highly educated and have PHD's to back up their hard work.

YES, I believe in creationism. However, a work of art is an ever EVOLVING process, and its quite possible that GOD creates his/her/its art through the means of evolution. Science and religion are not that far apart in overall theory. But, for some reason, each faction chooses to cling to the idea that they need to be separate in order for each to have validity. Its all childish nonsense if you ask me.

I would imagine they know a great deal on the subject of their respective flavors of religion.

Awesome post!
Thank you for posting that!
Can't agree more.
Thanks again!
Now if we can just get others on board!

Well they kind of are the ones that study these fields in depth....why would you assume that an pastor who just happens to be a creationist with a strong opinion against evolution knows more?

Hypocritical and what?

You called out the first poster on the first page. Chadwickus I believe also noticed this

I know, you are totally entitled to your opinion, Im not trying to take that away from you. Im simply curious as to why you would assume the words of someone who is obviously biased, are fact?

Im not here to bash you, despite having different beliefs, I still respect yours....I have no problem with religion, as long as people arent going to try an convert others (most likely to be fundamentalists in that case anyway)

expelled is a pile of crap and lies.

a lot like this list

yes darwin got a few things wrong. no one really doubts this. but then again...origin of species is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. so its a bit outdated. scientists have updated the theory of evolution since then. NONE of your arguments are compelling in the least.

for example "humans beings evolving from apes"
humans ARE apes.

no one has observed speciation?
are you kidding me?
have they (or you) done any research?

What's up Watchers??? I thought I would say hello since I haven't heard from you in awhile!!!

Anyway, here's yet another thread of someone posting according to their predispositions, or established schemas. Some things will never change.

Thank you, I'm glad someone else picked up on that idea. I think its hard for some people to connect the dots that are right in front of them.
