I understand the point you make ... I just wonder who would determine whether the boy was recalling from the soul ... or as someone else mentioned ... acting on 'false memory'. As a pastlife-reader you will be aware of how damaging this can be.
I just think there should be some responsible research and testing before any knee-jerk reactions take priority.
For the boys long-term welfare.
