washington postNow this is just downright creepy.

Pollutants that mimic natural hormones have created a "toxic stew" in the Potomac River, altering the sexual development and the immune systems of fish, a local nonprofit group warned in a report Wednesday.
The report says it appears that chemicals -- it's still not certain which ones -- in the water are interfering with the hormones that guide development in the fish. It said that potential causes include animal hormones from manure washing off farm fields in the rain and human hormones and pharmaceuticals that are flushed out with treated sewage.

If what we are dumping into the river is doing this to the fish, imagine what it is doing to people. Then we wonder why everyone is sick or on anti depressants.

And the next big problem is what is going to be done about it.

Birth control is one of the contenders, but you can't eliminate birth control. New methods need to be developed to keep this from being eliminated into the water supplies. This must also mean that it is not being broken down, and possibly being recycled again.

I know that fabric softener and some detergents never break down. And that is toxic stuff, and people wear it on their cloths.

Endocrine disruptors, androgen & estrogen blockers. These are more scary to me than armies. Man suffers increased miscarriages, more birth defects, plus dwindling sperm and testosterone. Women are hitting puberty years younger in a single generation. It's slowly killing us and our environment. Screw global warming, this is much more horrific.

The only way to expel most synthetic chemicals is to sweat them out. Most people are storing these their whole lives. If you sweat daily, you'll be much better off than most people. A dry sauna would be ideal.
