First Romanian Space Mission - 13th November 2009

A Romanian private team accepted the Google challenge of sending a private mission to the Moon (Robotic mission by 2012). The Romanian team is one of the 21 teams that decided to participate to the competition. Tomorrow, from the coast of the Black Sea we will have the first trial (Test mission) where for the first time a ballon is used to lift up the rocket . This will be the largest solar ballon ever built, it will lift the payload to 18 000 meters ( 12 miles) then the rocket will be activated. This method was not tested yet so with them good luck ! I will come with updates by tomorrow !
