One word for you:
SOVEREIGNTY
"
When in Rome, do as the Romans do" is just as true today as it was then.
The reason why there has been such a back-lash against the West is because Western Nations going through their Imperialistic phase (which the youthful
U.S. came to the party later than the rest) failed to recognize the Sovereignty of Foreign Nations.
We simply do not have a right to dictate the internal affairs of another Sovereign Nation. End of story.
Just because we enjoy Separation of State from Religion (or lack of a Religion) in our Country doesn't mean that we must enforce such universally for
all Nations.
If a Muslim Nation wants to restrict areas within their Sovereignty to Muslims only, then that is their inalienable right (and prerogative) to do
such.
Really, is this any different than Israel dictating where Non-Jews may live within their own country?
However, a S&F for bringing up something I wasn't aware of and giving me an opportunity to learn something I didn't already know.
