The name says it all.

Also according to the Sharia law, conversion from Islam to Christianity is officially punishable by death. So Obama would be the target of every devout Muslim around.

Research from primary sources who knew Obama from his childhood indicate that he was a devout Muslim, the son of a devout Muslim, the step-son of a devout Muslim and the grandson and namesake ("Hussein") of a devout Muslim.

I am sure all the Muslims are laughing at the dumb US citizens who think Obama is Christian.

I noticed this too. How many Christians call the Quran "Holy"? I know many who call the Bible the "Holy Bible". Is there footage of Mr. Obama calling the Bible "Holy"? To that I'd be interested.

I cannot speak for others, but this Christian (myself) isn't concerned with what faith he is as much as what he does. For example, the slaughter that amounts to his abortion policy causes me considerably more illness than any chosen faith.

Oy, this again? I've never heard anyone speak aloud (tv doesn't count) that they think Obama is the antichrist. I think it's wishful thinking that Christians are out of their minds, rather than reality.

I think indeed he's playing it, but it's not exclusive to President Obama. Take a snapshot back of the last 20 years (maybe more?) and it should be clear that this is a party desire rather than an individual's. Careful though, the slap to Christianity dwells just beneath the surface. In an attempt for "equality" comes the squelching of Christianity. I could site examples but alas, this is off topic.

I'm confused as to why precisely this should "rile me up." Let's assume, for the sake of discussion, that this amounts to proof that he is a practicing Muslim (which in my opinion it does not, regardless.)

So what?

We can have practicing Christian presidents who talk about freedom being God's gift to humanity, but not a practicing Muslim president? Is the argument that he should not let his faith guide his policy and decision making? Every president in the last hundred years has at least claimed to appeal to a higher religious power in their decision making and pandering to the public. I don't like it or agree with it, but why is Obama any different?

I personally do believe in the separation of church and state. I also STRONGLY disagree with many of Obama's policies and decisions. However, him being a Muslim - if he is - does nothing to anger, worry, or upset me personally, whatsoever.

There is not a religious requirement for being president. The oath of office being administered with one hand on the bible is a tradition. It is not required that the person taking the oath be Christian.

The freedom lovin' folks are telling us that Obama is muslim.... even though at numerous times his stated his a christian, which his choice, even though these same folks were riled up about him being an extremist christian.... and you'd figure Obamas word and freedom of choice would enough as well in this country.... but ya gotta have an excuse to "bash Obama at every chance".

This is ridiculous.

Obama has yet to propose, suggest, legislate, write down, or compel any citizen of the United States to do any sort of practice of Islam. There is not one item on his agenda or one piece of information in any Democratic legislation or Executive Order that brings Sharia law or anything like it into effect in the United States.

There has not been one piece of evidence or leak from any person, whether they be friend, enemy, or observer, that Obama practices any aspect of the Muslim faith as President.

The guy has been influenced by Islam. Duh. It was a part of his family and he freely admits that. It's been a talking point in how many speeches now?

Are you afraid he's going to whip out of the oval office one day in a beard and turban and takeover Air Force 1?

I was talking to my friend about his father the other day, and accidentally said "my father" instead of "your father". Does that mean that my friend is actually my brother? No.

But if I were president, I guess the paranoid right would probably claim it, compile a bunch of video clips where I talk about fathers, and then say it's truth.

If half this stuff were, true, I'd want to meet Obama just to be able to talk about what it's like to be an Illegal immigrant Socialist Communist Fascist Indonesian Kenyan Radical Muslim Christian Democrat Black power President.

Take a look at the above and then think how silly you really seem when you guys claim this stuff.

I agree that alot of this is hype and people are simply looking for something wrong with our first president of a different background than what has been the tradition. But, my understanding is that there is an Islamic practice in which Muslims are permited to either deny their faith and/or engage in unholy practices if it advances Sharia. Does anyone know the name of this practice?

Since we don't know what the conversation was about BEFORE that tiny selective clip, it's kind of meaningless. But it seems safe to assume that it was a simple cognitive error, the kind people make all the time, where you repeat a word you were just using as opposed to using the one you meant to use.

There is no actual evidence of any kind to support the theory that BO is a Muslim, nor should it matter AT ALL. Certainly, garnishing diplomatically inspired praise on other peoples can't be mistaken for anything else, can it?

I just had dinner with a Muslim tonight (and others). One of the kindest and most brilliant people I know. Does this mean I'm a closet Muslim?

What's the point to this whole line of thinking anyways? Is being Muslim supposed to be bad somehow?

Can anyone see any merit whatsoever to perpetuating this kind of base xenophic bigotry? I sure can't.
