I did the test 20% Left Brain 80% Right Brain.

I guess that explains why I can't get the stupid dancer to stop turning clockwise.

Initial response to the dancer was clockwise, or right brained. It took a bit of concentration to make the image reverse, but, once done, I can reverse either way easily.

First test

Ive seen this before. I too am a person who can make it turn either direction on demand.

That video confused me... the dancer looked like it was changing direction every 10 seconds, like on the dot 10 seconds.

For the first test I got..

I got a 63% on right brain and 37% on the left....

Odd , very odd.. I took the second test and got all 18 on left brain...... but in most tests I am usually scored in the right vs. the left.

Clockwise only on the dancer, and so far I simply cant perceive her going counter-clock wise.


On the tests I was overwhelmingly right brained. Frankly, that sort of surprised me.

Maybe this will help, I made it to help my friend see it both ways;

When it moves center to right, say in your mind "right" and then take your eyes off the foot and look at the body (the head is best). It should spin clockwise.

When it moves center to left, say in your mind "left" and then take your eyes off the foot and look at the body (the head is best). It should spin counterclockwise.

Did a few tests 2 yrs ago and did the tests on the links you provided.

Test 1: right brained person to 12 Qs / left brained person to 6 Qs
Test 2: 60 percent Right brain - 40 percent Left brain

I'm Right Brained 42% Left 58% Right. It was weird when I initially saw the video it was going counter clockwise which would suggest I am left brained, but after they put the text up and showed the figure again it was going clockwise and I couldn't change it back! So I was a bit confused on that.

They also say you can tell this by which hand is dominant but I think that is BS because I'm right brained and right handed, not left handed as I'm supposed to be.

I'm a right side kind of guy but as for the percentages, I'm going to have to take the fifth on this one, on the grounds that my answer would tend to incriminate me.

Couldn't get the video to work but I assume it's the same as the wagon wheel clockwise/anti-clockwise test, which coincidentally was in this or last weeks New Scientist Magazine. I can easily make it go either way when concentrating but when caught unawares by this illusion my brains first response is to see it as anticlockwise when in fact it's really clockwise.
