1. 10.2% = unemployment in America (even higher if you count the under employed and those that have stopped looking)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the depression (yes I called it a depression not a reccesion) start with Obama or Bush. yes both men made choices
and mistakes that I feel caused more damage then good. But lets not forget that Obama came in having to clean up Bush's mess.
2. $1.75 Trillion = the largest and most unsustainable deficit in our nation's history. "oh but it was necessary to save us from the
abyss!" please refer back to #1.
lets look at the defict now. right now because we can not add anything that might get tacked on due the the healthcare bill. As of right now a total
of 931 billion has been spent on these two "wars"
700 billion = Iraq
231 billion = Afghanistan
( this is from www.costofwar.com) This is the total since 2001 Obama took office in Jan. Obama could not do anything about the buget for this year
since Bush had already signed off on it for this fiscal year. So given that knowledge how could Obama have raised the deficit to that amount. Did he
have something to do with it yes. Cash for clunkers, more bailouts etc. But you can not put the blame square on his shoulders for this.
3. 51 = the death toll in October 2009, Afghanistan. The deadliest month in the War's history. Obama spent the entire month putting off the
decision to either follow his commander's reccomendations to curb the violence or not.
I'm hard pressed on this issue. I tend to agree with you on this subject. But what you have to realize is that the man is stuck between a rock and a
hard place on this one. (personally I would want the task of fixing the economy the fixing this cluster*&^%) Any decision he makes he is going to be
crusified for. Americans want our soilders home NOW. But if he just pulls them out and the taliban take over again now we will have a very powerfull
and motivated enemy + the american people will scream the HE let that happen even though he was doing what we asked. If we stay then the American
people will still crusifiy him for "following buses plan and wasting taxpayer money and american lives on a useless war. Not an easy decision.
4. $999,999,999.99 = the amount obama said he wouldn't sign a healthcare bill that cost more. he's currently poised to accept a billion
hundreds of billions more than that.
Obama truly believes in this healthcare bill and he truly believes that if he can get rid of the wastefull spending then it will not cost nearly as
mush as his criticts say. For my sake and my family sakes and for his sake I hope and pray that he is right. This country NEEDS healthcare
reform!!!!!!!! But the biggest problem i see know is that both sides are throwing trash at each other and the truth is getiing covered up by it. I
hope it passes because we need it and I believe he is telling the truth. Only time will tell on this on. I dont not fully believe Obama when he says
that it will not add any money to the deficit but I do not believe the other side when the say that it will add trillions either
As for the quotes:
1. me, my party and my representative i put into office need to shut up, stop talking, and get out of the way, while he cleans up their
mess.
2. democrat's think for themselves. I and my republican friends just kinda "do what we're told"
I cant comment of these because I dont have any evidence that he said or did not say these things.
In conclusion, you don't have to be a muslim, anti-american communist to absolutely SUCK at your job. And obama sure does suck.
He has barely been in office a year. Before any one can truly pass judgement on his performance lets wait till he signs the 2010 budget. Lets see how
2010 turns out. We have to give it time for what he has implemented to start to take place. I think one big problem is that people thought that he
would get into office and fix everything overnight. Now they are realizing that it would be years befor things get back to normal. By Obama's own
words the country will not start to benifit from his plan till about 2013-14. The sad this is that if that is true and he does not get re-elected then
the next president will get the credit.
