While im sorry about posting this here, i had trouble deciding where this belonged and since it will need a massive input for a decent survival section i thought id start here.

ok now to the meat of this thread. What im here for is to create a useful, detailed and importantly correct survival guide for this culture were in (Sorry for anyone not American its just im here and so is for others like me. feel free to input as much as any though) and i find i helpful when making certain points to reference certain things. the thing that killed me about the anarchist cookbook was it wasn't about anarchism and its recipes ether were lies or liable to kill just you.

I expect this to be a several month minimal compilation, id like to have a very thick section on survival. specifically temperate/snow tropical and urban survival. i want it to have everything, both detail and simplicity and i just am not well enough versed to be able to do it my self. thats why im asking for help.

really anything and everything, how to carve a bow, set up shelter, gather water. imagine your writing this for the sheltered individual and give him/her all he/she needs to know.

I also plan on having section about every kind of political agenda/ outlook out there. Anarchism , communism, tyrannical, socialism, nihilism. All of it, both what is is, a bit of history and effective creators of it and what kind of steps are required to bring it about.

Other expected chapters include:

Drugs: true information and effects. No lies/misinformation
Self defence/ weapons
self sustained living-crop growing- necessary food elements for healthy life
Underground networks
sign language-basic hand signs

other such things
I want information both for current life, 2012 scenario and such.
Note to authors: Please try and ensure your information is correct, ill try checking best i can and will also make if available to fact check through out its creation.
This is planed to be released as a paper or hard backed book along with Internet resources so bear that in mind. Also i will ensure all authors are given their credit and will have what ever name they ask to be placed in the back of the book. Ether real names or nick names or user-names if they wish.

A compilation of techniques, equipment, procedures etc is an excellent idea in a SURVIVAL capacity, not for anarchic use. This forum has provided me with useful information, but I believe the purpose of it is in the title of the forum...

I am interested in reading your efforts. But I am interested in the Survival aspects ... if by "drugs", you mean medicine then I definitely see the value. Especially medicine that can be gathered in the wild from herbs etc.

Unfortunately, herbs etc differ from region to region. What works for a person in Canada probably will not work for a person in South Africa.

Almost all the information you are asking for can be found in an up-to-date Boy-scout's handbook.

Just trying to save you time instead of panhandling to strangers for information that already litters the net and beyond.

Some might see this as you being lazy (asking for information yet offering nothing but requests for other people's hard work) and it may help if you showed that you are "on the ball enough" to "begin" this work yourself.

There are many survival books. I know of one with the name you want to use.

I, personally, do not want to start from the beginning and help you write a book.

I believe anything, short of something illegal, can already be found in our survival forum.

Ti's a noble try you are just late on the uptake unless your guide has some never before mentioned electrifying information.

The NRA has many very good survival books for sale.

The reason for my consideration of the name anarchist cookbook is because the demographic that knows it is the target for this book. And btw my email is that because i am an anarchist, im just reasonable enough to know its not a likly possibility at this time. The book isnt just for survival it is intended to be a single book with all encompassing information for awhile. It is intended to teach about anarchism as well

There is a massive amount of misinformation on much of everything ranging from cannabis to truely bad drugs like meth, the idea is the same for the book as this site is dedicated to.

But im glad you mentioned herbal because it would be an excellent chapter, ranging from tribal medicine acrost the country.
Like i said this isnt intend for the whole world, in a attempt to avoid that very issue i am keaping it within to continental USA.

For those that discovered early that the original Anarchist Cookbook was fraudulent at best, and downright dangerous if the recipes were followed, there was another good alternative that came out a few years later. It is nigh impossible to find these days post-911 but it was called the Poor Man James Bond Cookbook. During college, me and my Chemistry Major buddies wasted far too much time concocting items from that cookbook. Ah, good times! Too bad boys can't be boys anymore as doing such dangerously destructive activities is tantamount to terrorism after Columbine and 9/11.

You may have to be careful, especially if you publish your results electronically. One need only look at the New Zealander who posted a blog on how to make a Cruise Missile for $1500 in off-the-shelf parts for an example of what will happen to you.

I certainly hope you have a ghost writer to write this book for you, because your spelling and grammar are not great.

I am not trying to be insulting... I just want you to realize that most editors will throw manuscripts with poor spelling and grammar in the garbage.

Also, I would be careful republishing anything you get off the internet. If you don't have written permission from the original writer, you are opening yourself up to lawsuits for copyright infringement. Even if I posted something here to add to your book, how can you know I am the original author?

well I know how to *kaboom* things, but I dont feel comfortable putting my knowledge out on here, because some kid will blow himself up. Plus it might land in the wrong hands!

I do not think this topic is a good idea. Just my view.
