Hi all - just stumbled upon these beautiful images taken of Mars surface, everyone a potential screensaver

www.boston.com...

NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has been orbiting Mars since 2006 above the Martian surface taking these images using HiRISE (the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment camera) at resolutions close to pixels per inches. It is mentioned that the images presented are in either 'false colour' ? Go figure or grayscale, but the detail they show is quite something which does raise the old question of why can't they show images of this clarity of our Moon?

Anyhoo hope you enjoy them as much as I did

Berth

Fantastic set of photographs!

I can get lost in looking at them. They show such wonderful details, such as the stunning effects of dust devils on the landscapes. The painter in me wants to do something with this series... really.
