Explain to me how Chavez is a threat to the US?

because his government is left leaning? since when has that been a crime....what happened to democracy...his people voted him in.....

The USA freaked when Russia stationed missiles in Cuba but here we see the US doing the same thing by stationing and supplying 4 or 5 bases in Colombia as a pre text to incursions into south america that has majority of the time been left leaning....Oh, lets not forget the oil...surely that has not got anything to do with all this has it?

About time many of you grew up and saw what is going on and how the rest of the world see's America and its policies from outside of America....not from within....you'd be surprised.

So as an American who is well aware of how our image is outside of our boarders...are you suggesting that an American such as myself take YOUR opinion of global current affairs with an screen name that has the word Militia in it? Really? Before you cast aspersions on others maybe you should think about it first.

With the imperialist pigs surrounding Venezuela with military bases, Chavez has every right to be prepared for war to defend the country.

very intelligent reply on your part...was it worth the effort?

explain to me how a screen name has anything to do with the question i asked you? it is totaly irrelevant to the topic.

and you havent answered how is Chavez a threat to the US?

i didnt cast aspertions on others, just stating the facts......how the world sees the US outside of your borders does not get passed onto the average person in the street.

i have nothing against the american people, but their governments policies has alot to be left to be desired.

now could you please answer my question?

how is chavez a threat to america?

you do know that it wouldn't be the first time the USA has over hyped or fabricated an external threat!

To the one that said that Chavez is a wise man, well I can only laught at.

I'm from Colombia and currently live here in Bogotá, this conflict is not about the NWO, the Illuminati, or such. Is just like the problem between Argentina and England for the falkland islands. Currently Chavez is suffering a lot of critics in Venezuela due to his politics and the fact that the economy is going down hill, he's a dictator from the extreme-left.

On the other hand, our president Uribe, is one "warrior" of the Opus Dei.. a man that could be considered a fascist and right wing dictator who's practically modificating the constitution of Colombia for the second time, so he can be elected again next year. The sad fact, is that most of the country is with him and so he'll probably will win the "democractic" elections.

In case a war between these two countries happen, I really can't see the people fighting each other. Venezuelan and Colombian people are practically the same (specially those that live in the frontier) there's no hate between each other. Only some nationalist fags and puppets of the US on one hand, and on the other puppets of Chavez socialism, would fight.

You blatantly lie.

Uribe is not a dictator, he has won both elections by landslide and he has a popularity of over 70%, Colombia is a democratic nation and if you are colombian you should know it.

"Nationalist fags"....."puppets of the U.S.", you must be one of those supporters of the left in Colombia, but you can keep on whining because Uribe is going to win for a third time.
