Even though he proudly pays himself more in a year than most of us could ever dream of — $68m in 2007 alone, a record for any Wall Street CEO, to add to the more than $500m of Goldman stock he owns — he insists he’s still "a blue-collar guy".


so this CEO thinks bankers do gods work.

If you ran a company and made massive money, would you call yourself a "blue-collar guy" still - or would you automatically change into a prick?

Going off of memory, but didn't Goldman Sachs pay back the bailout they received?

Not saying they do not deserve hate, but I am missing the point here.

Who's to say whether anyone is or is not doing "God's work"? Maybe this guy really is doing God's work. How would we ever know?

Well, I suppose if God came to me and told me either yes or no, then I'd know. But so far, God has remained silent on this issue. If God ever does tell me, I'll be sure to let everyone here know what He said.

Well, I talked to god today about this, god told me and Ill quote...

I was expecting something profound and enlightening, but I guess it's just that simple.
