what is a mutter stream and why is it always an error code when i go to a thread titled mutter stream?
|
My quess is that the mutter stream is from the twitter like thing on this site where you can group chat or whatever it is they do on there.
Anyway I think they must run a stored procedure that periodically dumps that data into the main ATS thread database for archiving or some such thing.
So what you see is that procedure creates a thread but then immediaty dumps it into a "forum" common users don't have access..
But this is all a wild ass guess on my part.

I think it's the program that indexes and displays the topics for the current board.
Do a search for it, and it leads to the active board.

well when I do a search it only pulls up my post and two others and they lead to something like a snapshot of the recent posts board from a past
date. Some one on here posted mutter stream nov 8 2009 and it only lead to 404 page and I have seem it before with the same results

Are you logged into BTS?
If not, log into BTS, (Same username/password as ATS.
Then recent posts tab, Mutter is along the right hand side by the thread titles. It's a long narrow blue box.

I found it, it's like a static chat box.
There was an old java program called mutt and mutter back in the day.......

bah op, again, im wishing i could star people in this forum!
i have seen this and wondered the same, i just never coudl be bothered posting about it ..
about once a week, a thread pops up titled "mutter stream 11.11.09" (i made up the date their) ... and when the threads clicked on it goes to the
404.html.
my guess was/is that the mutter db is backed up /deleted /maintained(worked on) once a week, and that file is an artifact of this (i go with a backup
file or something).
