I saw this interview. Peters is hardcore, which is the way our military should be top to bottom. Instead, we have all this warm, fuzziness that
leads to nut-case, Islamic-extremist, Army psychiatrists murdering pregnant soldiers on an Army base, whose commander thinks that it's an isolated
incident, despite being engaged in a global war against Islamic-extremists.
There's been violence on military bases for about as long as there have been military bases, but there has never been one like this that typifies the
kind of deep, systemic problems that permeate our entire military structure.
This is like one of those classic "what's wrong with this picture" puzzles x4.
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America's Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said
non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.
One Army doctor who knew him said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim soldier had stopped fellow officers from filing formal
complaints.
But General George Casey, the Army's Chief of Staff, said it was "speculation" that military authorities failed to pick up on warning signs. "I
don't want to say that we missed it," he said.
