Obama spoke in that speech like he was talking about the weather or his healthcare plan. Both inconsequential you'd think with the soldiers deaths on home soil, seeing as he's Commander in Chief and all.

Don't know if he's losing his mind, but he sure looked like he didn't care as much as he should.

if you will remember, alot of the facts of the shooting came out AFTER Obama spoke. i don't know what else he could have said, he expressed his grief and sadness for what had happened, he obviously was holding back until more information was known. by the way killings like this, (but not on this scale), and also the amount of suicides, have been going up in the military. obviously what has been done in the past is not working, and the military needs to change and be proactive. if not, we are going to see more of our brave men and women in the service to our country become victims

Barrack has a couple of half-brothers...
the one that's out promoting his new Novel is a pretty much ringer for the Pres. ~perhaps he's remarkable double ~ or maybe Barrack is not who we think he is.

this from a search engine index:

[YouTube Link] President Obama’s half-brother Mark [Obama] Ndesandjo
who looks just as smooth as Big O and lives in China is writing a novel called “Nairobi to Shenzhen" ...

in a TV interview this morning (sunday 7 AM) this Mark guy was completely articulate...but has the same habit of searching-for-words as does Pres. Barrack...

things that make you go ..... hmmm?

Forgive me but, what on earth are you talking about?

Talk about exaggeration.

they're just repeating what rush says. it's pretty common these days. it's FOX SPEAK, a language found about 14 years ago, that was unheard off in the industrialized countries. the style is a type of jolting, hyperbolic, series of phrases and words that elicits a visceral, emotional feeling in the subject that uses it. this "feeling" is one that lends the person to believe that they have uttered something profound and meaningful, whether it makes sense or not. you can tell if this is true, by actually asking the person that said it, to go into detail about the meaning, origin of, and verifiable data to support their pronouncement.

From thefreedictionary.com:

"to·tal·i·tar·i·an (t-tl-târ-n)
adj.
Of, relating to, being, or imposing a form of government in which the political authority exercises absolute and centralized control over all aspects of life, the individual is subordinated to the state, and opposing political and cultural expression is suppressed: "A totalitarian regime crushes all autonomous institutions in its drive to seize the human soul" (Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.)
n.
A practitioner or supporter of such a government..."

And this, from them:

"Adj. 1. totalitarian - characterized by a government in which the political authority exercises absolute and centralized control; "a totalitarian regime crushes all autonomous institutions in its drive to seize the human soul"- Arthur M.Schlesinger, Jr...."

As to Rush Limbaugh, I have not listened to his radio show since 2002 when he began apologizing for the evil that President Bush was doing at the time. And I do not watch Fox News, I do not trust them.

My political leanings, which are truly pertinent to this post and thread, are liberal libertarian. I am for universal healthcare, that is controlled by the states and doctors and nurses with a council made up of patients' rights advocates. But I am not for a national healthcare system where doctors and nurses and patients have little say in the matter.

I am for legalizing drugs, and I am for imposing tougher penalties for driving while under their influence. I am for a flat tax where every single person pays the same percentage of their income, not one that is currently charging mostly the middle class, or one that punishes over achievers, asking them to pay a greater percentage than is fair.

In the socialist system, there is no such thing as fair. The Elite send their children to elite schools, the poor, to the poorer schools, and onward to mundane jobs, mostly, while the elitist capture all the higher paying positions. In capitalism, the top controlling people are the richest, in socialism, the top controlling people are the elite, who through bribery and theivery, also become the richest.

So don't give me, "You only know what you have heard," routine. It won't work on me. I always have facts and examples to back up what I say, and right now, history is my biggest example.

lol if u think we westerners have true democracy think again. American polices are run by big corporations in which u build laws suiting these businesses and very little in the way of social polices.
ITs the same in Britain we think we have a good democracy in which theres 2 parties and i think people need to reread what a democracy is. Today most democratic nations are in fact Democratic dictatorships in which we vote ppl in to tell us what to do......
Noone in this world has a true democratic state

The problem with Obama is not his "mind" or his cognitive functioning, but rather with his priorities and values.

His gaffes do not result from not thinking, but from personal agenda. That he confused the CMH with the CMF is fairly small given the circumstances, but his placing the atrocity at Fort Hood lower on his list of to-dos than a shout-out to anyone is where the problem lies.

This is like Obama standing on a platform with other presidential candidates and not bothering to place his hand over his heart during the national anthem.

It's not that he's too stupid to recognize the national anthem when he hears it. It's that it's just not important to him. I didn't ring a bell. If someone had asked him at the time what song was playing, he could have answered in a heart beat, but when it comes to a reflexive action, it's just not there.

I don't hesitate to respond when I hear either the national anthem or the Marine's Hymn. It's automatic. For Obama, they're just tunes played by bands.

When Obama made his statement regarding the shootings at Fort Hood, did anyone note any indication of personal pain or grief on his part? I didn't. What I saw was a smirk.

Priorities and values.

This is kind of trivial.

Do you think he really cares about hose victims anyway?

If he really did he could've said something right away instead of giving shout-outs.

Obama is a herb. Point blank.

Peace.
