I have to wonder if the Bible is right.
I have always debunked the Bible because it was written by a lot of different people. And because it involved a lot of translation and, therefore,
probably errors.
But lately we have had earthquakes, tidal waves and plagues - there seems to be some new plague every day.
If the Bible is right, we are in the last days.
What will you do?

Just try your best to do unto others as you would hae done to you, and mabey say thanks to God for the things you are truly greatful for, and do this
inspite of what religion and everyone else is doing...it is hard, but keep being the bigger person no matter how screwed over you have been, etc, etc,
and your good to go! I would try to aoid religion as much as possible though as it turned me into a self rightious judgmental misery, and took
me almost 10 years to shake off the damaging effects and to start trying to be spiritual again.

There have been Plagues, earthquakes and tidal waves since, well, forever.
Is there verifiable stats to show that there is a significant increase in these events?

Wow Mellisa,
I had to star your thread, because I believe that religion is evil - it causes wars, death, suffering, torture, division between people and
nations.
It is a manmade evil that must be stopped, for the good of mankind.

OK, Chad,
It seems to me that we have a cluster of these events right now.
I hope I am wrong - but...

It may seem that there is an increase but is it just an increase in your awareness of these things?
Particularly plagues or epidemics...
www.hawkshome.net...
listverse.com...
Modern history has been relatively plague free...

Who knows, Chad?
I truly hope I am wrong.
We were better off not knowing these things.

I would like to know what good religion has done to mankind.
It has caused hatred, wars, suffering, starvation - please tell me what good it has done.
Because I really would like to know.

Anything from feeding the homeless to personal enlightenment. Are these not good? And I don't think religion DOES anything TO mankind.
