I am not a hardcore video gamer by any means, but I have never enjoyed a game like Call of Duty Modern Warfare. At my peak, I played about and hour a day, and generally the time is split. I could play with my buddies across the globe in some sweet modern war action.

In mere days Modern Warfare 2 is coming out. Christmas is early this year.

I have made a list of reasons people are ready for this game to come out asap.

-You, in conversation, refer to Modern Warfare 2 as just '2' or it

-When witnessing anyone trip or fall, 'tango down' is an appropriate response

-You throw grenades in Halo trying to remember the zoom button

-You watch the game trailers, specifically, to identify weapons

-You've had dreams about playing it, and woke up very sad

-You have taken vacation days for the launch and the day after

-You played the old game for a few rounds, just to see if you still have that amazing knife reflex (still got it)

-You have a countdown timer on your desktop

-You have made a '2' soundtrack cd to burn unto your XBox and have labeled the cd '2' in marker

-The problems of the world seem increasingly meaningless as only one thing is on your mind

-If you weren't in the Eastern Standard Time, you have contemplated making the drive

Oh man I can't wait

I pre-ordered the game, and will pick it up on Tuesday. But I am not actually too excited for it. I am sure it will be a ball of fun. But, I have been playing MAG for the last few weeks, and I am really enjoying it.

MAG just takes the FPS to a new level. 256 players is just mayhem, and the only way to win is if everybody is working on the same page. Which really doesn't happen in COD games. In January when MAG officially comes out I am sure I will retire MW2, but until then I am sure MW2 will not leave my PS3.

Supposedly there are a lot of copies of MW2 out there already. For promotions and special events. However all stats will be reset before Tuesday.

I can't wait either.

I think COD 4: Modern warfare was possibly the best game I've ever played.
The Multi-player was just amazing.

I pre-ordered MW2 a while back and cannot wait for it..

Woooooooo

Yep I completely agree, its awesome, too bad modern warfare 2 mp is a huge fail. Looks like i'll be saving my 60 bucks for battlefield bad company 2.

I can't wait to prone jump and bunny hop my way to victory. but I heard that they won't have dedicated server support. If that is true then I can categorize it as a FAIL. OPF2 would be so much better with dedicated servers. Multiplayer is going to suck on the PC now.

yeah IW basically said FU to the pc community. Those who get it for pc will love the new features:

no dedicated servers;
no more 19-64 player matches;
no mod support;
no leaning;
no ability to kick hackers immediately;
no mod tools,
no custom maps,
no console commands;
not have the ability to record demos;
not have the ability to manually select my own servers from a list;
no lan play;
host with ping advantage;
average player ping of 100+

I hope they release some kind of patch in the future. I play on Xbox so I am used to those restrictions.

I doubt they will.. I've already took the money from mw2 and put it towards battlefield bad company 2. That will have dedicated server, mod support and a ton other stuff mw2 doesn't have. Going to be a lot better than mw2 mp. Check this mp footage out.

Xbox 360 works for me. I'm not worried about all that accessibility when I can get in there and just start a mission or some co-op fun.

Besides, MW1 for xbox was great online.

The only thing on this list that you really notice is the part about no mod tools/custom maps. The lack of dedicated servers really isn't a huge issue, it works exactly as the console version do now which means it works perfectly fine. You really don't need to select a particular server from a list, you can simply create a private game, invite who you wish and set it up as you wish. Hackers? Now that it's running through steam, i have yet to see a single person hacking.
