Actually, its a remake of an old miniseries that aired in 84, when I was a kid and was quite scared of such things

With the knowledge that I have
today, I see something else in this series that scares me as an adult: the parallels with Obamamania, and with David Icke's material.. Here's an
interesting article that I found on this very subject, as it relates to the Obama administration. Interestingly enough, it is published in the
Chicago Tribune:
Imagine this. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and
reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care.
The news media swoons in admiration -- one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: "Why don't you show some
respect?!" The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader's origins and
intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: "Embracing change is never easy."
So, does that sound like anyone you know? Oh, wait -- did I mention the leader is secretly a totalitarian space lizard who's come here to eat us?
Welcome to ABC's "V," the most fascinating and bound to be the most controversial new show of the fall television season. Nominally a rousing
sci-fi space opera about alien invaders bent on the conquest (and digestion) of all humanity, it's also a barbed commentary on Obamamania that will
infuriate the president's supporters and delight his detractors.

That is exactly how I felt days after the election of Barrack Obama. It was like I had fallen asleep and woke up in some paralell universe. It was
Hitleresque the attention and favorable press that this man received, like he was the "One" prophesied Messiah that we had all been waiting for.
This false euphoria was drummed up by our state controlled MSM. It was too much to stomach at times... people worshipping a lying-rat politician,
like he was a God. I just wanted to grab somebody and say: "wake the Hell up!"
I also find it interesting the parallels between this miniseries and the reptillian conspiracies of David Icke. These alien reptillians have created
all of these organizations, like the boyscouts, etc. in an effort for propagandizing and training the masses. They infilitrate all levels of
government, schooling, military, police, etc... Does that sound like the Illuminati? The interesting point to make is that the miniseries aired,
originally, in 1984, long before David Icke began his work, which apparently has nothing to do with the miniseries.
