So let me get this straight.
Not only was this guy of Jordanian descent... and perhaps a recent convert to Islam (that's a tough one to determine if you ask me), but he was a Major... that's at least an O-4
AND he was a PSYCHIATRIST!!! This is right out of a movie...

Most terrorists are doctors and engineers. Not out of a movie, this is common knowledge.

I'd love to know why everyone was led to believe he was dead all day. Were his military records or internet activities being scrubbed or altered in some way?

There is definitely stink to this story.
Remember Virginia Tech being in the news two years ago for 32 people being shot to death by a student? It's now breaking news here locally that this guy graduated from that same school.
The same school is also located near a DARPA facility accused of hosting MK-ULTRA-like mind-control experiments in a 1995 book by a lady named Cathy O'Brien claiming to be a victim. See this thread for the news stories coming out now about him being VA Tech alumnus: www.abovetopsecret.com...

I was just reading about the Port Arthur Massacre, and Jonestown being military black ops and covered up. This is what our government is made of. We let them run loose for the last fifty years with no oversight whatsoever, it is a wonder we have lived this long.

Just a thought here but I think we are just about to find out what the FEMA Camps are for.
Shades of World War II Japanese Internment Camps.
Convenient for a little event called a World War. Thankfully we aren't in the midst of a huge economic crisis like we were before World War II.

Stop it, you aren't supposed to be rational in a time like this.
This is the time to come up with dispariging remarks about the military/government and come up with outrageous conspiracy theories.

Maybe it is time for legislation limiting the military from forcing reinlistment. It seems like once a person has agreed to military service that their servitude is forever and they are never allowed to say no, no matter how it destroys their personal lives. Soldiers are citizens too. They have a right to life liberty and the persuit of happiness. If they sign a contract for a certain number of years, probably three, then they should be allowed to say no after that.
