Four doctors died of flu in Ukraine's Ternopol and Lvov regions, Health Minister Vasily Knyazevich said at the Sunday meeting of the operative headquarters for the prevention and treatment of A/H1N1 flu.

The above comments describe the death of four health care workers (HCWs) at two sites in western Ukraine. The government website shows a total of 53 deaths (see map), which is quite low if four HCWs have already died. HCW are trained in methods to minimize infections from parents, and they are likely to get prompt medical attention, yet four have already died. These numbers add to the confusion in Ukraine.

Initial reports denied the outbreak was due to H1N1 even though there was virtually no seasonal flu circulating in Europe (or North America). The explosion in cases of acute respiratory illness (ARI), in view of the exploding H1N1 pandemic throughout the northern hemisphere, would signal involvement in the cases in Ukraine.

It is quite strange that after over 70 years of no epidemics, we suddenly get swine flu, and then within a few months a new strain forms.

Is this really a coincidence?

I know there are other threads showing evidence of the possibility that this disease was intentionally released, as well as the new strain, but since I didn't see these links posted, here they are.

There is a very organized and structured system among us to coordinate the release of a weaponized flu with the goal of killing people at unprecedented rates. The pneumonic plague now being witnessed in the Ukraine may be just the beginning of this global effort.

SARS, Avian Flu, and Swine flu appear to have been just trials for deadlier killers such as the current pneumonic plague which is likely another weaponized strain similar to H1N1. Perhaps the pneumonic plague itself is another trial for something more lethal.

There are many questions that have yet to be addressed. How did this virus spread so quickly? Why are the actual numbers not being reported? What has changed in the H1N1 virus to cause this plague or is it a completely new virus? Who is benefiting from the hype or reality of the situation?

Yeah, you never know who to believe.

On the one hand, this could just be fearmongering to get people to take the vaccines. On the other hand, this is happening for real, and there are more deaths no being reported.

However, on my case I will not be getting the vaccine, nomatter what information comes out.

I went to the doctor yesterday because I fear I may have developed asthma (blah!) but I believe it's being caused by environmental factors...anyway...

He said "it could be viral" (which I thought was ridiculous) and asked if I had the flu shot (then I understood he was just looking for a segway to suggest I get one) I told him "No" and purposefully said "I never get the flu shot" (just to see what he'd say) and he said that I should this year because of the "H1N1"

I just thought it ridiculous because I've never gotten the flu shot, so why should I just because there's a different kind of flu out there that the shot might not even fully protect me from! Good grief...

But I digress, if people freaked out about what happened in Mexico and people in Canada are freaking about an asthmatic kid playing hockey while sick with the swine and died then, yeah, they will definitely flip IF this Ukraine virus is much more serious.

Who knows, time will tell.
