I am an ATS debate noob, but I'll kick butt.

Or at least make my opponents wish they had my side of the topic.

A final list of participants will be listed in this thread tomorrow. Members entered in the tournament will be contacted via u2u. Those members will have 72 hours to respond to confirm their participation. Once all are confirmed, we'll look to get the first round up and running within a few days. If people do not respond, their names are bumped and people from the waiting list will be entered.

Once the tournament starts, these are the participants and nobody else shall enter. If a forfeiture does happen, the opponent moves to the next round.

A new rule that we are going to implement for this tournament and will be emphasized for everyone before they confirm their participation is that if you enter this tournament and then forfeit due to non-responsiveness, you will be ineligible to participate in the next tournament. If something comes up and real life takes over, inform us and let us know of the situation. This isn't what we're talking about it here. From time to time members will just up and "quit" the tournament or are just never to be heard from again. This simple measure is to prevent forfeitures as much as we possibly can.

Judges & Submitted Topics...

I've yet to directly respond to the number of members who have taken the time to submit their intentions to participate as a judge for the upcoming tournament and also the dozens of topics that have been offered.

I have each and every one of these u2u's saved in my inbox and I will be reviewing them with the organizers of the tournament next week. We will go through the lists and make our decisions. Anyone who is selected as a judge will be contacted next week. If your topic is selected as a debate topic, it is my intentions to contact you. If you notice a topic being used that you believe you submitted and I have not contacted you via u2u, please contact me and just run the scenario by me. It is possible that two members submitted the same topic and one of which may get missed. Anyone selected as a judge or topic contributor will be awarded with a point bonus for their effort.

So judges and topic contributors shall be contacted as well, just as our participants will be.

Topic contributors will not be contacted until that topic has been authored in a debate, as we don't want to tip anybody off on what is being used for the tournament.

If they confirm, they are in and their seat is theirs. If they do not, their seat is vacated and will be given to the member at the top of the waiting list. A member of the waiting list has 24 hours to confirm once they've been contacted. As seats become vacant, the waiting list is used. That reminds me, I was the one that bought the debate tourny up, until chissler decided to close that thread an open this one..

I think im entitled to some sort of "flag commission"
