At this point Obama is doing a fine job of bashing himself. He is still blaming Bush for his woes and challenges. That is a cry for help from a man with no experience. If one of my workers kept blaming a previous employee for their shortfalls after a year, I would fire them. Excuses will get you nowhere.

A successful and experienced leader will work his way through any challenge. Obama would rather curl up like a pill bug and cry foul. "Nobody likes me" ..."Someone make Fox News stop finding faults with me and my czars"... Yadda Yadda. The man has no stones. Hell put a wig and a dress on him and he would be prettier than Michelle.

Oooh that felt good.

To be honest, I agree with you. Obama is not what he is cracked up to be.
United States would be better off with a Independent president.

[edit on 4-11-2009 by sphinx551]

Now THERE lies the problem. There is no "independent President" as long as election campaigns can only be afforded by the already filthy rich with dubious connections in the corporate world. Every election has been bought.

Only solution would be a strictly equal measured and controlled amount of funds for every candidate that can and must be used only for campaigning.......

Just a study at Harvard isn't enough..Brains won't do, just Brashness, power hunger and money I guess..

Why? because he takes every opportunity he can get to bash on the American people.

Okay, I'll bite,

when has he bashed Americans?

please quote something from a speech or press release that proves he bashs Americans. his words not a FOX new pundit or Rush or Glen Beck

I'll just give one example.

dateline pennsyvania.
time during election

"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

yeah. when the jobs are going south or overseas, when illegals are flooding the borders to take even the cheapest jobs, we get pissed. Highschool kids are having a devil of a time getting even a crappy job.

This quote is exactly why obama is not loved in the least. No wonder he has no love of america...his NOT AMERICAN!

I will remember to just skim over your posts from now on.

I don't know where you get that from his post moreover, it sounds like YOU are guilty of what you have asserted as your "understanding" of his post.

Nice try in the attempt to turn it around on me but that doesn't work. And if you see his later post I responded too, with the name calling, it just goes to show his agenda will permenantly be biased. Which proves my point that he just wants to be angry and spiteful at someone who he has never met. And only listen to rhetoric that supports how he feels.

Ironically, I see your post, as an attempt to second guess the OP and re-write that disparaging interpretation which is words to the effect:

" So in other words what you "really mean" is...... [place best character assasination using most extreme antithesis as interpreted by you]

Funny how the poster never refuted it either. Extreme antithesis? *laughs* I think your being a little extreme. by admition, the poster is never going to look at politics critically. And every arguement is going to be shadowing a late night talk show host. And how exactly does that add to ats?

[ think what the OP has said is simply this:

Yet, you accuse me of making up my own interpretation.

"Unlike some of us, a house doesn't have to fall on the OP's head to understand what a dispicable anti american, coward this kenyan con man is.

Wow, and all in the same thread you managed to show that you are defending someone of like mind, and going after someone who has an opposing opinion. Because your siding with someone who has the same misguided, biased, beliefs as you do.

I am there myself and regret not listening to all those people that had tried to tell us that all that stuff about obama that they were calling signs of socialism, his sleazy circle of friends and his lies we all ignored as right wing fear mongering, was one of the most stupid errors in judgement, we as American voters have ever fell for.

Your previous statement has already negated that you are not capable of critical thinking and have joined the right wing pack mentality.

Yeah, I guess you may as well skip my posts too, because I too have my mind made up. Obama is a pondscum.

You people can't even be original enough to make up your own slanders. Pondscum? harsh....

The irony, or maybe not so ironic thing I wanted to point out is that the way the OP is feeling and has voiced his opinion is NO DIFFERENT than what we have heard for the last 6 years concerning Bush. A lot of hypocrites in this thread condemning you for exactly the same thing that they did previously.

Thanks for posting this. I agree with you. He and his so-called "CZAR" appointees need to be impeached now. Where I live; there is a movement for this sent to our congress and state officials.

So Mr. Common Good, i take it you are refusing to engage in a intelligent discussion on this topic? Top of page two of this thread, I posted some thoughts in the hope of a discussion, yet you either pass over them.

I fully respect your right to say whatever the hell you want, but i do not respect a person who dodges a debate of this magnitude when you, yourself, brought it to light. I didn't sit here and make baseless comments about someone, and only provide two crappy examples.

Lets deny ignorance. Why not engage in a debate with me about this, maybe you can save a little bit of face and make yourself seem less like a typical obama basher.

and just so you know, i am by no means an obama fan boy. i voted for mccain, i accepted obama as our president with the thought that hey, if anyone is going to provide some sort of difference, it would be a newbie. So far i have been proven wrong, but it would be highly ignorant of me to sit here and say "I WILL bash on Obama, every chance I can get."

Almost as saying "I WILL eat turds every chance i can get, just to make some people squeamish."

Lets be intelligent here. lets have a discussion. what do you have to lose?

and yes, you should consider this a challenge. lets man up and be adults.

Impeached on what grounds?

Cmon, don't let your hatred of this man because of political differences influence you on your ideals.

Impeach him on what?

C'mon. What exactly can he be impeached on?

What because of Czars? Really? Reagan had Czars. I don't agree with Czars but they are allowed. So if it's Czars your against, that's not a good reason for impeachment

Impeachment is done for High crimes and misdemeanors. So Prove your point or shut your politically instigated crap up.

He should be impeached. What kind of crap is that? Cause he doesn't fit within your narrow band of political feelings? That's bull crap. You only feel that way because your candidate lost. TOO BAD SO SAD. That is the American political system for you. If you don't like the Republic cause the Republic elected a candidate you like, you should move to another country.

Um no need to go into the welfare rate of this country but young people these days DON'T WANT TO WORK! So I'm not saying mandatory work programs are the solution but you gotta do something to get these damn kids out of the house to start doing something. Maybe not where you live but around where I live kids just try to mooch off their parents till their 30, the work ethic of this country is absolutely terrible. Also when I was in high school I got to have half days as a senior for work study programs, WHICH I LOVED! So please don't talk to me about work ethic in this country.

i agree that this sounds as a bash, and maybe it is, but how much does it ring true?

the way i see it is that it is a call to get off your behind and do something about your situation. don't throw a pity party. the only one who can change your life is you.

it even works as a call to get things changed in the system if you find it that wrong.

fight against illegal immigration (in a way that doesn't make you sound racist...which is tricky i know, but there are smart ways to go about it to where when they call you racist, you look at them and tell them they are ignorant and here is why, at which point you lay out the law, you lay out the process to be a citizen, and those are THEIR facts that they live by.)

I think people choose (concisely or not) to see what a politician says as negative. we all know they lie, but they do not lie all the time.

This isn't a Obama problem, this is a Government problem.

The government ignores the real situation.

The companies hire these people. It's not the government's problem that private companies give illegal aliens refuge and ability to work in this country.

Is private corporations that are the problem. If private businesses are shut down completely for one illegal working for them, they would change their policy.

You want American jobs to stay in America. Make it a capital treason crime to hire illegals. Make it so that companies that do this immediately get shut down. I grantee that the immigration problem will then be immediately reduced.

Sup Superman. No, I was not ignoring you, I was simply letting everyone get what they thought off their chest, afterall, if I were to debate every single person in here who disagreed with me, i wouldnt have time to eat, sleep, or take a crap.

With that said, I do not know exactly what it is that you want to debate?
You want to debate the title of this thread? "I Will bash Obama every chance I can get"? ok.
First off... it wasnt my INTENTION to provide examples. It was my intention to say what was on my mind, thats it. I only showed those two videos because someone asked me to give them an example, which I did. I am sorry if it wasnt good enough for them, but to me, someone who leads this country should rule it with an ounce of dignity towards his fellow men and women. I do not believe that he was in ANY position to make excuses for ANYONE in this country except for himself for whatever reasons he felt that he must.
But, we really dont care about those two videos now do we? It runs much more deep than that and that is why I have been getting some of the responses I have been getting so far. IMO everyone has their own opinions, and I let them state theirs, andto tell you the truth, I saw just as much bashing and hate towards me as I have provided towards the President. That to me, is ok, cause like I said, everyone has an opinion.

Since you asked nicely..I will try to make this as clean as I can for you. You asked me why the whole "I willbash Obama every chance I can get?"
You think(and a couple others) think I stated that just to sit back and throw all rational out the window, just to hate. Let me be very clear here..
I Do NOT hateJUST TO HATE...I am just not that kind of guy, and if you look at any of my other posts, you will notice that. I always, and I mean ALWAYS have reason for saying the things I say, Imight not always give an example right then and there, because quite frankly, he has been screwing up a lot since he took office. Imnot going to sit here and dig through every single scrwe up just to satisfy those who think I NEEDto provide them with examples beforing feeling the way I do.

Lets be truthful here for a second...I can sit here and say I dont like Obama because of his affiliation with Acorn, his affiliation with crazy priests, his affiliations with rezco, his way of social engineering, his ways of talking to people like he is better than they are, his attitude like he knows whats best for us, and the rest of us dont know what we want, his total lack of understanding how the economical situation in this country works, just throwingmoney on top of money, on top of money, trying to band-aid every single problem we have. His in ability to be a great commander in chief, a man that has inherited two wars, and has been on the fence for over a month now still trying to decide if he should send more troops to afghanistan when his generals themselves have told him"hey we need them". His affiliation with all the news organizations trying to get them on his side and blocking out everyone else who doesnt believe in his rhetoric. I can talk about his throwing bills through congress before anyone has a chance to read them, because we are in so much of a god damn hurry, yet here we are, unemployment is still on the rise, people are going hungry, cities such as detroit burning to the ground, car manufacturers in the possesion of the govt, banks getting constantly bailed out...I mean really....Do I need to continue? I can go on for days...but doyou want to know what superman, it doesnt matter.
People still wont care, even if you show it to them, they will still deny everything that you have shown them to remain onto that last glimmer of hope. It really, really, makes me sick to my stomache. And all the while people are cheering "Obama, Obama, Obama", like he is some sort of Superman , Superman. Im tired of it.

i get that, but i am inviting those who see this viewpoint into a debate so we can get some clarity on why they feel the way they do.

we must understand each other and hopefully work together. not sit here and bicker and get no where.

we got the politicians doing that enough for us. lets educate each other.

i'm willing to have my view point changed or altered. i have ideas, not beliefs. beliefs are dangerous. ideas not so much.

There will always be people choosing to live in caves, no matter how far society advances.

Tisk, tisk. At the other end of the spectrum you can also have some folks that are overly edumacated, they've lost all concept of having good comoon sense

Some people have been making that statement for way over 10 years now, yet AM radio still won't die. In fact, AM radio keeps getting stronger, which is probably why Pelosi would love nothing more than to pull the plug on AM.

If things keep going the way they're going, we'll all soon be living in caves.

i agree with most of what you have just said.

my point in "throwing the gauntlet" if you would is to try to prove a point.

This debate is already chock full of emotion and tomfoolery, and i personally think that starting a thread like this does nothing but hurt your/my cause and view point.

We went through 8 years of this with bush, and it looks to be another 4, maybe 8 of the same thing. i know part of it has to do with the increase in use of sites like these, but the only way to change it is to stop doing it individually.

I'm not trying to single you out, but you know that when you start a thread like this you are putting yourself out there.

This has gotten to a point that if you are going to make a statement like this, you MUST provide proof, and more than what you find enough.

Saying that, just as i dont see it fair for you to make a statement like this and not provide adequate representation of your argument, it is also not fair for people to jump your stuff in a way like has been seen....because it has gotten to a point where i can't start a positive thread about obama without it being jumped as an obama lover, and i cant start one being critical without being labeled basher.

sometimes facts are facts people.

If your reasons for assuming such a position is hedged on statements of the President that should be regarded as constructive criticism (at best), then you're taking a severely misguided and counter-productive approach towards understanding the system. Narrowing the focus of your criticism on the personality of the occupant of the Presidency indicates that you've either never fully grasped the nature of the political system, or you've lost sight of the legitimate reasons for criticizing it, or you have an ulterior motive in assuming such a posture.
