Gosh, couldn't they have come up with an attractive Jesus,

Watch the pendulum swing, they are cutting off their nose to spite their own face.

Once they have totally done away with Christianity and Islam takes its place, they will lose their rights.

Hey i am a Pagan and that has nothing to do with Paganism or wiccanism. We believe that there is truth in all religions and ALL religions and the people who believe them should be respected.

Can't be too weak if it's got you (and so many who starred your post) so riled up and "mad"... Sounds pretty powerful to me.

I remember this same kind of Christian outrage at the movie "Last Temptation of Christ". It blew over. It was a really good movie, too.

It's make-believe, you guys. Much like the stories you have in your religions. It's just a story. Why it has the power to infuriate you is a mystery to me.

It is really"fun",watching young children wanting to wear those
suicide belts and kill everybody not muslim!
I'm talking grade school children,3rd maybe 4th grade age.It is
scary that such a hatefilled religion is gaining so much influence
in the world.But,I shouldn't be surprised about brainwashing young
children,Hitler did it during WW2,now the muslims.They just keep
spreading hate and fear and inciting the population to react in the
way their leaders want them to.

I think that all you people in this thread who are squawking about blasphemy and shock art and this-and-that really need to take some classes in art, criticism, religious studies, and government, so that you can have a broader and more informed opinion about this issue. You have to have the skill set to view art in a critical and perceptive way and to think outside of the box. In addition, y'all need to relax and read the constitution again and maybe some court cases and realize the significance of free speech and precedent.

Remember: Take away the rights of others, whatever they may be, and you are only shackling yourself and are too blind to see...

This is a perfectly valid form of expression. I don't see how it could be anything else.

I have been keeping up with your post (don't let your ego grow any bigger, please) and I must say you can't see anything past the point of your nose.

Just because you can do something doesn't mean its right for you to. The only reason you see it as a perfect valid form of expression is because you are not a christian. Therfor your opinion means nothing as you are biased on the subject. This is nothing more then a kick between the legs of all christians.

It amazes me that anyone can label a play like that , art.

I thought art was supposed to be creative , inspirational .

This is a sad reflection of our times , culture disappearing fast.

We also have plays that feature breasts and penises !!!!?????

How would the gays like it if the Christians made posters portraying gays as something they dont accept in their own culture? I think that when they do things like this, it does NOTHING BUT hurt their own cause, and the way people view THEIR choice of lifestyle. They always have to have it their way, they have to bein the lime light pushing their one sided views, they kind of remind me of North Korea.

We all know Religion is a sensitive subject to (mostly) all of people on this planet, and there is one common denominator between ALL of them..Respect.

How do you know it's not creative or inspirational without seeing the play?
You are just going off the facade of the main character

You can't judge the play before watching it
it might be the most creative play on this planet, or the worst
but you can't know before seeing it.

Wow, nobody is being hurt? Why is it that so many feel its "ok" if not perhaps something to be "encouraged" to offend a spiritual figure that is the corner stone for billions around the world in this way? If it were a leader of Islam there would be riots, threats, battles in the streets. Yet here we see Christians protesting, just voicing their hurt and people like you laugh it off as some overly sensitive types who don't have a sense of humor...there are still people in this world who take their faith as something sacred and they should be applauded for standing up for their beliefs.

They choose to depict Jesus this way for shock value to sell tickets. Christianity has become the easy target with little or no backlash from insulting the religion. If this was done to Muslims or Jews there would be worldwide condemnation and as you said death threats.

I would like to see if they would have the nerve to depict Mohammed this way. My guess is that they are cowards and would never dare.

Deary,I am not influenced by the media,my tv is almost never turned on.
If you are referring to the documentary,I bought that through a pro-Israel
broadcast.You can talk until you're blue in the face,my mind is made up.
I am quite able, to think and DECIDE for myself,what I will believe.

Oh,I forgot to add to my terrorist list,I am also for closed borders for
the U.S.
