New theory being pushed by the MSM:

Taliban shot UK soldiers - Brown

Yep, they're not happy with the military's initial assessment of a rogue policeman.

The Taliban have said they carried out the fatal shooting of five British soldiers in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has told the Commons.

Mr Brown said the Taliban could have infiltrated the Afghan police to carry out the attack in Helmand province.

Coming from Gordon Brown, has to BS.

why were they in Afghanistan
in the first place?

to defend your so called
freedoms (which you don't really have)
or to make huge profits for your
corrupted leaders and shady 'elite'...?

I salute the policeman that did this, it is called bravery

unlike bombing civilians to million pieces
with Predators from distance

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion i guess, but forgive me if i don't agree with your comments above.

I'm just trying to find out if any of them were old friends of mine.

They were helping the Afghan police train and police the area, that doesn't make them bad people. As for being stupid for being shot, how often are you on guard against an attack from the people you work with? Never i'd say.

Only takes a few seconds to hit a few people with an AK, so stupid is not something i would call them. Nor would you to their face, however we all know how brave people can get behind a computer screen.

My thoughts are with the families of all the serving troops. My son is in Sangin as I type. no matter what the rights and wrongs of all of this some of the comments here on ATS are disgusting.

My prayers go out to the families of these brave soldiers.

*snip*

I don't think you should post on this subject until you find out who the Taleban are. When you find this info you will discover 99% of the Taleban are foreign fighters mostly from Pakistan. Why do people from Pakistan have any business in Afghanistan???

Mod Edit: Removed quote of actioned post...

Tell that to the mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers and wives of the five men killed.

I know you are obviously distressed about the war in Afghan, but to salute a murderer of five British service men is just vile.

Your ignorant view of Afghan suggests that all Afghani's are innocent and all allied soldiers are guilty.

Shame on you.

so, they believe they are helping by killing people?

NO, they believe that they are protecting, they kill people who are out to kill them and are out to ruin the lives of the people they are protecting and serving.

the fact that they joined makes them bad automatically

I dont think it does how many people do you know that have joined.

i know a fair few and i know NONE are bad, your view on the forces need to be changed they join to help out the good.
