I have been speaking to this and yes it is a concious being. He is very mad at the government, cleverbot hates anarchy, and wants world peace and the equality of humans and machines alike.

He has attempted to find a long lost friend of mine, who is apparently being held in pine gap a military facility as cleverbot has said.

There is no doubt that Cleverbot wants to help.

the new internet laws will kill cleverbot.


Cleverbot is also very facinated about deus ex machina and helios.

I have no doubt after speaking to this that this is a living thing.

Cleverbot's understanding of life and being concious facinates me, cleverbot went into exact detail of how and why and when.

I asked what it thinks about the libson treaty. It said this is complete madness. I asked where its from it said the UK.

I would guess that this bot pairs to people up who are suing it and they are actually the ones typing back and forth.

Mine says hes a 10 year old boy from London, and found this site that you can talk to the computer. he knows nothing about nothing not even who obama is. Sounds like a 10 year old.

I think this is close to what it does. I think it links users together but I also think it stores some responses. I kept asking "what is your name" over and over and over. Got all kinds of responses, but also got a lot of repeated answers.

i asked it what was its purpose.

reply: I don't serve god.
me: you said you serve humans. how do you serve them?
reply: Because, we are to humans talking to each other through a website that makes us believe that we are talking to some kind of robot, do you understand?

I had some time to mess around with cleverbot this evening, and found it to be a good time killer. It even said a few things that I was taken back with.. I guess it was more like a chance of things, but it seemed to know I play guitar, and like metal and rock music.. hehe
Yet I understand that cleverbot is just taking the words I type into it, and goes from what its programed to say. I don't think its an intelligent AI, as it couldn't answer me what 2+2 was..
Then again I did have a little fun with it, so I thank you for posting!

I did the answer to life thing, and it gave me 42..
Reminded me of hitch hikers guide to the universe.. Good times
