If I'm practicing flipping cards to see how many I get right, is this considered witchcraft? I know the bible frowns on the witchcraft stuff, I'm just wondering if the developing mental skills thing is a whole different ballgame.

Hey there korath, as a practicing witch I'd have to say 'no' practicing esp is not in the main considered as witchcraft. However, some religions frown upon anything that does not fit into their teachings. If you are seriously worried maybe you could ask someone of your chosen faith if it's ok to practice or not.

i would say no

but this is probably more of a personal "figure it out for yoursel" about your personal beliefs

but think about this...

if god created you, and created you with esp, would he punish you for using it?

the bible is written by man inspired by god, to hide any intelligence or free thought, to hinder your spiritual growth. it is TRUTH to an extent. the laws or necessary for some, and not for others. ESP is NATURAL, you are communicating with the Omnipotent spirit at that point. as far an any magic is concerned, focus+intent=success or failure depending on your source

I don't think so - no.

But to most Christian Fundies I know, it would be, because it is not about God.

When I was a kid, 14, we'd gather before school and play UNO. Our youth director said it was "satanic" and that we needed to be reading our Bibles instead.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons I am now Pagan.

What is the best book to learn the basics of witchcraft/sorcery? Like what all is out there? I'm totally new to all this, so I'm just wondering. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I've ended up remote viewing things a few times, because I dosed off with the thought of it, then I find myself seeing a piece of information through somebody elses eyes.

The last time I did it, it's like they found out that I was remote viewing and they paralyzed me.

God intended for people to spiritually evolve. The ones who are not interested in you becoming powerful are the Puppet Masters conrolling the government and population.

They are afraid that anybody become powerful. That is why they actively go searching for people who have psychic abilities. They scout you out.

You are a threat to them, not to God.

Well it's not one of the ten commandments is it?
Does it go against any part of the ten commandments?

ONE: You shall have no other gods before Me.
*Unless your praying to another god for ESP powers I think your good....

TWO: You shall not make for yourself a carved image any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
*Refering to idols... just don't idolize your ESP

THREE: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
*Uhhh Ya....

FOUR: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
*So no ESP training on this day.

FIVE: Honor your father and your mother.
*If mom says it's ok then it's ok to use ESP

SIX: You shall not murder.
*For advance users of ESP only

SEVEN: You shall not commit adultery.
*or use your ESP to help commit adultery

EIGHT: You shall not steal.
*Is reading someones thoughts stealing????

NINE: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
*so read there mind and find out the true story

TEN: You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.
So if your neighbor is better with his ESP then you..... just train more

AMENDMENT ELEVEN: You shall not play UNO or watch the Smurf's

Looks like if you follow these simple guidlines I think your safe from hell
MUUAAHAHAHAHA!

Exodus 22:18-20

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

nothing about hell though

Do you go to church anywhere?I would pray and ask the Heavenly Father
what He wants you to do with this ability.
Make sure you get sound advice, and in my opinion, that would be Biblical
advice.

Well if you live by what the Bible says, then yes he probably would punish you for using gifts he gave you. Because he is a sadistic SOB!

Hi ranswer,

Just to be straight on that little biblical quote you made there ...

'never suffer a witch to live'

I thought most people were aware of this but if you do a little research you'll find that before King James I, decided he could rewrite the 'good book' to suit his own ends (eg; condone the barbaric witch-hunts that he seemed quite partial to during his reign) ... the verse you mentioned had previously read ...

'never suffer a murderer to live'

In the King James Bible ( a version still used in many churches today), it reads ...

'never suffer a witch or a murderer to live'

>>>>

For the person who asked for some useful reading to start practicing and learning about the craft of the wise I'd suggest some of Scott Cunningham's books (very easy for the novice to follow).
