And by the way, that entry in "go ask alice " appears to be written by a retard, The first sentence practically SCREAMS "WE DON'T WANT TO ADMIT IT, BUT IT DEFINATELY APPEARS TO BE A VIGINITY DETECTOR, AND SINCE WE'RE COMMIE PSYCHO-POLITICAL OPERATIVES SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED TO DESTROY AMERICA BY INFILTRATING AND DISRUPTING/DESTROYING/TURNING EVERYTHING GOOD TO BAD-AND EVERYTHING BAD TO GOOD (hence homo-sexuality/pedophilia/drug/alcohol abuse=GOOD- religion/morality/self-reliance/ethics/self-control=BAD) WE WON'T ACTUALLY SAY ANYTHING TRUTHFUL IN THIS SECTION!".
It states that it is "AN ETERNAL MYSTERY" Gosh, could they be hinting something(maybe there is a creator, oops). And it doesn't APPEAR(open eyes before thinking) to have a specific function( duh, I just TOLD you what the PURPOSE is).
To keep out dirt? Ever heard of a douche? Soap/Water?
Oh WOW! It states It could be there to PREVENT THINGS FROM BEING PUSHED INTO THE VAGINA'. Good God! could it be more obvious!
And lastly, do you know what anecdotal evidence means? (here-say/not imperical/somebody just said that strenuous activity caused the hymen to tear? Wow, I've NEVER EVER even HEARD of a Woman/Girl Lying about how her hymen got tore!)

how much stupidity can be packed into one post.
people clearly evolved along side douches. i can see why you took one year of pre-med or whatever. you couldnt make it any further

congrats your inane banter has earned you the first ignore ive ever issued!
it nowhere implies its a virginity detector, it explicitly states its not that good at it.

ok. thats completely irrelevant. yet again.

I can understand your 'ignore' response as you are an "IGNORANT" person!, LOOK UP "PSYCHO-POLITICS" it is the system that you have been brain-washed by. It was developed by the Russians specifically to destroy an enemies entire country without firing a shot.
Why THE HELL DO YOU THINK AMERICA IS IN THIS STATE! GEEZ! Dude get a brain! Use it! and then re-read what I have posted! It will all make sense to you then. And "I" was the speaker in the quote about telling you what it was for!

It said something about giving "Creationists craving oxygen of respectability in the world of Science"...or some crap like that!

And I said it comes down to faith! I don't care about the opinions of any "scientific community". I'm not discounting all the really good science out there, but you can't determine the existence of God using man-made equations.

To quote the Bible, even though it irks you so,God says He will be known by His creation. You can accept that "God made the world",because He can,or you can go off searching for a gazillion other explanations!

I choose the "childlike faith" God seeks from "His children".
I'm happy with my beliefs, and I assume you are happy with yours.

Remember,"Absence of Evidence isn't Evidence of Absence"!

if that works for you and makes you happy, go with it. keep those beliefs if they keep you happy, but god did it raises too many questions for me. i need to seek for something more.

and i do have to disagree with that old adage to a degree.
i think this is a little
"the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, but it is a good reason to question it's existence"

good luck to you sir, may your journeys be fruitful, and all answers you seek be found. im sure if we avoided this topic like a swimming pool full of rabid, poisonous snakes we could agree on a lot.

i think im going to call it a day. i need to be up in three hours.

Here's reconpilot's thread(thanks to HiAliens for actually starting the thread and asking the questions.)

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Anyway, I guess like Hidden_Hand, my "mission" here is done(though I can assure you that I'm not one of "them. I am but an Earthling trying to connect everything as much as possible. IMO, people don't have a tendency to hoax, except for justin I guess, but even then, he admitted that way before long, I was just too stupid not to look for that thread). I have to wonder why I did not post these things before. I guess it was no coincidence that I typed in swine flu yesterday and eventually came accross this thread.

Just curious, but where did you first learn about the existence of Satan?

Like any fictional character, I learned about him from a fiction book. I think it was titled Bible.

Well,Satan is "the Father of all Lies".

Lies are bad,"m'kay?!"

And that right there is the biggest BS bigoted lie ever told. Show one lie perpetuated by Satan himself.

DUDE! You forgot banana's! Those little gems are the best proof for god! Perforated packaging. Pull tab technology. Color indicator so we know when it's ready to eat. I mean wtf how could we have all been so blind!

[EDIT TO ADD]

You can give evolution a chance now. Here is a list of female species who also have hymens. LINK

Evolution does exist. Anyone who denies this denies the obvious. There is evidence everywhere for it and intermediate stages between species have been found and studied. We can even see evolution happening within the human population in changes to our body designs. This is undeniable.

However, evolution does not and never will explain everything. It was not a theory that was meant to explain everything. For example, (just to name a few that made me question evolution while studying zoology) the
Hawk Moth caterpillar, the human female orgasm and the evolution of flight. These to me are questionable as intermediate stages leading to the final design just does not work or have an evolutionary advantage. The female orgasm is defintely a strange one, because it actually has no biological advantage at all. So how did it evolve?

Evolution also doesn't explain the origin of life for the first cell couldn't have existed without the things that build the cell in the first place, which need a cell to create them. It's a huge paradox. So there has to be something else.

Intelligent Design, for me personally, doesn't have to involve god creating us from dirt. It just means something intelligent did it. Whatever that is or was is open to debate.

But then that still doesn't explain where our life-force, our concsiousness, comes from. That is the ultimate question.

Why do you think the Hawk moth caterpillar couldnt evolve a structure resembling snake head on the tail? Many other species evolved some kind of mimicry. Snakes have been here for so long that almost all organisms have encoded fear of them by their evolution, so snake-like structure would definately mean an evolution advantage for the moth.

And the female orgasm is easily explained by motivating females to have sex and procreate - evolutionary advantage.

Evolution of flight happened by prolonging jumps.

Evolution also doesn't explain the origin of life for the first cell couldn't have existed without the things that build the cell in the first place, which need a cell to create them. It's a huge paradox. So there has to be something else.

Yes evolution doesnt explain that. There are theories which dont require intelligence, like abiogenesis. But you have a point that it is not proven yet. So is ID explanation.

But then that still doesn't explain where our life-force, our concsiousness, comes from. That is the ultimate question.

...the brain?

That is the ultimate question and one that may never be answered, who knows, the ancients in esoteric traditions believed we are teh result of a thought form from other macroscopic beings, who knows really, such an intriging thought!!

What I find intriguing, is how we can take some of these ancient mythologies of creation and see how they are similar to modern day scientific thought. personally I am against putting modern knowledge in primitive mouths, but the explosion of a cosmic egg is just so damn similar to the big bang theory. It almost makes you wonder if we've been down this road before. Perhaps the Gods of mythology are mythologized past oral traditions of a more knowledgeable period of human history, with the feats of the Gods being the feats of man.

Very simply put in Layman's terms, it's both an "Appeal to Ridicule" and an "Ad hominem" attack. Neither of which is a VALID argument against.

When people do not want to address the actual points made, yet then proceed to attack the person making the statements or attack their results by ridiculing them then they think they have won the argument.

In reality it renders their counterargument void in it's entirety, however it is a very powerful attack because 99% of "Joe Public" doesn't understand the rules of logical debate and accepts fallacies of logic on face value.

Agreed, its quite a fascinating study and we are every day discovering the ancients had knowledge that in Darwinian terms should be impossible.
We are essentially re-discovering ancient knowledge as we go.

Truly it never ceases to astound me the knowledge teh ancients had
