I believe the subject of "Police state" deserves is worrthy and deserving of it's own board. The broad range of police related subjects... be they
negative or positive would do well to be condensed in this way. I want to suggest a vote on the topic and get some input to see if I'm the only one
who feels this way.
I have seen many a police threads start in one place and move to another fairly quickly, wouldn't it just be easier to make a permanent home for
these threads?
Wouldn't it be easier for new visitors to ATS interested in this topic to just select this proposed board?
The subjects involving police brutality, infringement of rights by the police, illegal checkpoints/search and seizure, acts of heroism ect ect, would be
more accessable if they were all in one location instead of scattered about the General conspiracy, BAN, and current events forums. I would love to
hear some input either for or against this proposition.

I second this assessment.
The nwo and world domination is not the same as a police state. These can be very separate arguments.

During the days of the ATS Council, I did recommend a Police State sub-section for the New World Order section.
As the FSME, I'm in favour for it

So any suggestions on how to raise the issue? and did you get a flat out 'no" answer before or did they give you any reasons why not?

It was not rejected straight off the bat, ATS had other projects at the time and I believe it fell to the bottom of the pile. I'm not sure, but I
recall deep conversations about its creation.

Yeah right.
It probably takes all of 30 seconds to add it.
But if there is no perceived need, it wont be done. And I cant fault anyone for that. There is such a thing as having too many forums on a board.
I recall deep conversations about its creation
I find that a little hard to believe. Not saying it isn't true, mind you. I just doubt it.
I can post a lot of examples. So far I'd say I have gathered about 500-600 criminal punks-with-badges, I'm sure others have too. So filling up that
forum won't be much of a problem.
These pigs are about as rare as sand in the Sahara.

I would be all for this, however.....
I would also love for there to be just one thread allowed in this new forum section entitled, "Positive stories about the police", just to balance
out what i envisage being a total police bashing forum.
Thats one of the few things that already goes on here that can seriously put me off this place, and i never thought i'd say that.
Yes i know many officers deserve the lack of respect they get here, but they make up only a fraction of the entire force.
So whether it's a thread that gets brought up now and again, or sticky to remind people that there is another side to the coin. I'd just hate ATS to
become known as a police hate site.
I do understand though that this is a conspiracy site, and rarely do we here of positive conspiracies, so maybe a positive thread about the police
wouldn't fit into the rules.
CX.

I don't.
Notice I didn't say that you were lying. I said I had trouble believing this generated any serious discussion.
Either it warrants a separate forum or it doesn't. There's not a lot to discuss, much less a serious protracted discussion.

Ah yes. The "good cop" argument. There is no such animal. They will destroy you in a heartbeat. When police are needed NOW, they are just minutes
away, and if you have to defend yourself they will bust YOU for having the gall to carry concealed without a "permit".
The "good cops" also know and cover up for the bad cops. That makes them just as bad.
HERE is an example of a
"Good cop". He got Susan Smith to confess to murdering her kids. That's good, right?
He got busted,
He was the face of calm and determination amid one of the most notorious and unsettling episodes in South Carolina history — the Susan Smith
case.
On Monday, the former Union County sheriff, Howard Wells, who gained national attention for coaxing the young mother to admit to killing her two sons
in 1994, was on the other side of the courtroom — playing the role of defendant.
Handcuffed, he stood before a federal magistrate to face charges of witness tampering and lying to authorities.
Busting a pig is nothing more than damage control. They have to do it, even though they'd love to cover it up. Some things you just can't cover up.
Thank God for the internet. It's not just a porn portal.

Could we get a police state board? Vote.
I agree that it could be beneficial... especially right now. I might also suggest that you could sub-divide this by nation as it is fairly clear that
some countries, like the UK, are further along to this end than others.
Great idea!
