C'mon Benevolent Heretic, Hunka Hunka, Southern Whatever, Grover - where are your excuses this time? Where are your explanations?
The people have spoken loud and clear. They are SICK of Democratic rule. Congress will be back in the hands of conservatives in 2010 and Obama will be
out the door in 2012. Hopefully we can get someone in office that actually cares about our country.

Last time I check, Emeritus, this country doesn't follow any religion... I don't see Christianity as the official religion, do you?
Where did I mention Christianity? Well, I didn't.
Killing babies is inhuman. Period. The fact that most Christian faiths oppose abortion just means that they also realize it. BTW, most orthodox Jews
oppose abortion, as do many Muslims. Furthermore, there are atheists that oppose abortion, so don't push this on religion.
Marriage is DEFINED as a union between man and wife.

Posts like this one are great. Tell me again: which party is intolerant of other people and their ideas?

Similar to the way the last "conservative" president did??
I know i'm a newbie here but I'll make it clear that this kind of thinking from conservatives amuses me to no end. I despise both major
parties in this country but people really have short memories when it comes to what happened under GOP rule.
Not that I see that things are much different under cowardly democratic rule. Bowing down to the Military Industrial Complex? Check. Bowing down to
the Corporate elites? Check. Bowing down to wall street, eliminating the middle class, and widening the gap between the 1% with all the wealth and the
99% that doesn't? CHECK!

I think maybe you should give these guys a chance to see if they can turn things around.
In the same token, they should be held to the same level of scrutiny as many are giving Obama and other politicians.
Personally, I'm tired of all parties. But I am a firm believer that the only reason they get away with the majority of things they do is because Most
Americans are too complacent to get involved.
Many are getting involved now, but once economy improves, many will fade back into their recliners.
Amazing how America can fill sports stadiums across the nation, but can't find time to get involved in the future of America.

Look out for pretenders!
When the conservatives do sweep there is going to be allot to clean up.
We desperately need to get centered in this country. No more far left or right. We need to re-balance.
I'm so tired of our country being ran by special interest groups and corporate fat cat campaign contributors. We need people in office with morals
that wont sell out....
We need congressmen that want to serve the people not ones that want the people to serve them.

With the exception of social policy, Bush and the rest of the neocons were pretty sorry excuses for conservatives. In fact, he and the GOP
leadership of the last nine years are the reason that the GOP rank and file is trying to weed out the RINOs that have infested the party during that
time.

I wasn't trying to single anyone out with my response, you are of course welcome to your opinions and I will fight for your right to keep them.
---
I was simply trying to make the point that both Democrats and Republicans are the root of them problems that this country has. Anyone who is excited
to see a Democrat or Republican win an election should be ashamed of themselves. Neither of those parties have any interest in what is best for the
citizens.
Maybe one day people will figure this out and start voting Independent or another 3rd party, as these 2 parties are completely useless and anyone who
thinks along party lines is also useless.
Critical thinking is at a all time low in this country.

Of course not.
But anyone who is willing to vote for Hoffman should feel disgusted.
I mean, ATSers are identifying themselves with conservatives, and radical one's at that.

Hmm, as of 11:12 he is trailing by about 3,000 votes with 70% in. I don't think he is going to pull it off.

Nah. Its over. The voting machines that are delaying the count are from a county that went fairly heavily for Obama in 2008. Barring a miracle,
Hoffman is not going to win that race.

I just watched Governor Elect Christie speak, and though I am hopeful he is a conservative with deep conservative values… Did anyone else notice his
entire acceptance speech sounded a whole heck a lot like President Obama’s? I hope like hell New Jersey does not get the same type of socialist
results…
Also, I don’t remember him being thankful to the PEOPLE of New Jersey… He said thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you… and said thank you to
everyone in that building… but did I miss where he said thank you to ALL the people who voted for me?
I have hope too, but his speech will have me paying real close attention to his governorship… Even though I live on the opposite side of the
country…

So what. Republican sweep changes nothing. As long as we don't have some kind of Campaign Finance Reform...corruption will rule...not conservative
or liberal ideology.
The people win nothing...quit acting like you've won something because you haven't.
It's great to see...after all the talk of how people are sick of both parties...how quickly people will go back to their old partisan ways.
Completely blind to the fact of who they are actualy voting for.
I bet most of you know nothing about these guys anyway. Go blow smoke up someone else's ass.

Marriage is DEFINED as a union between man and wife.
ANd it shouldn't be as that is based on RELIGION. Marriage should not be recognized by the federal government anyway...CIVIL UNIONS should be. That
ends the entire argument right there. You want to get married..then find a church that supports your "version" of marriage.

Yeah, of course, I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME CONSERVATIVES CALLED LIBERALS NAMES!
At least I have my morals.
When I say that I stand for the freedoms of this country, I mean it.
Not the freedoms of a CHRISTIAN AMERICA!
