I believe that there are many people who find certain accents sexy. Of course not everyone is like this, and I can't find statistics on it, but I want to examine why this is true at least some of the time.

Having children with a cousin, or family member, greatly increases chances of child deformity. This is known of course, but in such a big & complex social world, people might not know all of their cousins & family members. Also, even some cultures encourage cousin-marriages.

The accent-part comes in because, if someone has a different accent, they are likely from far away, and are likely to be less blood-related. It might be an instinct to think a different accent is sexy, to make sure you don't have children with anyone related.

Of course there are differences. Some people might not like certain accents, and like others. Some might think Arabic accents are ugly because they associate it with Radical Islam, for example, or not like East Asian accents because of other associations. Generally-speaking, I think many people like different accents, and many think it is sexy.

Even in our English language, many people think certain accents are sexy. The Southern American accent, or East Coast America accent I find to be attractive, even if I'm Midwestern. Lots of Americans love European accents, and so on.

I was just throwing out this idea. It makes sense to me. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are Australian, Irish, Scottish, French and Italian accents are sexy as ever. Dont know why but I find most men with these more attractive than people with my own accent. No idea why....

Examples: Gerard Butler and Hugh Jackman

cant forget Olivier Martinez
lol or Georges St Pierre hehe

I spent a few weeks in Ireland a while back and, after a while, you start to pick up some of the accent without even realizing it. I passed for Irish a few times.

French is a good one but you might need to speak the language. British is also good but you need to know the different word usage, those words that they use that we don't, like fag for smokes and whatnot.
